Trapp is pulling out some good saves today. Great work from Richy and Sess unlucky to be denied at the far post.

Sometimes the majority can be correct though. As you know I don’t like or dislike players based on anything except my own feelings and I feel Emerson is a huge hindrance to Spurs. Doherty isn’t great but I feel he offers more than Emerson. Spence, I just feel sorry for him, he’s not been given a chance to show his talents yet.

Trapp doesn't deserve to have conceded three this evening

Tuta off, two yellows in the space of about 3 minutes.

The main thing with Emerson is that he's actually an ideal player for Conte, as Conte prioritises work ethic and devotion to his tactical plan which Emerson has shown to the point he's actually investing his own money to improve his fitness - which also means that, if a result doesn't go our way because we set up badly, that realistically says less about Emerson and more about Conte as he's picking the most devoted followers

That's also where it gets murky to criticise a coach for picking their most loyal foot soldiers, after all Poch did the exact same thing and it worked beautifully for a few seasons - until it fell apart when he bet big on Ndombele being the next loyal foot soldier

Obviously there's point you can call out coaches for that, for example I remember how exasperated fans were when Martin Jol had Michael Brown as a regular starter as he offered little more than an impression of a terrier shagging your leg, but that also sets a precedent for other players that says that if they want games, earn the trust to get games

Have to start thinking about 25 mins rest for Kane and Son now. Wouldn’t mind seeing Bentancur switched too to avoid any silly second yellows, be good for Skipp to get minutes too.

Why take Richarlison off? Should’ve been one of Kane or Son, they’re more important and actually need the rest.

I swear Sessegnon used to be fast at Fulham?

Doesn’t beat Dier in a race at Tottenham. Easily outpaced by Borre (I think) there.

The most logical explanation is Conte is using the last 20+ minutes as a live fire exercise for 352, so he needs Kane and Son on the pitch so he can judge what works and what needs to be tweaked

Otherwise, surely Kane would've gone off

Sess packing on that extra muscle made him less lightweight than he was at times in the past, but it's come at the cost of his pace as at times he genuinely looks like he's not used to moving the extra weight and looks like he packed on too much

That would imply he’s been quick since before this season in a spurs shirt - he hasn’t. Regularly looks laboured when running.

Edit - and as I type, he’s just been ran around again.

Edit x 2 - outpaced and booked for late challenge.

Let's see what the BBC match tracker says for our match

...it says that Salah's scored a hat trick against Rangers

    Emerson Royal gives it away...Hugo gives away a corner...and it's 3-2.
