I mean Ashley is still going strong in the Premier league at 37/8? Could play at right wing back too. Would have been ideal for Edwards!
The really sad thing is a young inexperienced manager should be able to rely on the experienced battle hardened players to step up and offer bits of advice and set an example on the pitch
I am not ready to turn on the players and Pozzo and Duxbury just yet BUT Pozzo does now have a choice, he accepts that the Italian way does not work in the UK or he sells the club to someone who does The players have to look at themselves and be honest to say I want away or put in the effort they are paid for Whatever happen in the short term we need to keep Bilic and support him in January when we have the chance to replace deadwood with players who want to perform week in week out
The fear is if we don't go up what sort future do we have and how damaging is this relationship with Bayat as he has a court case coming (if found not guilty then fine but..) There is still loads of time to pick up results and form of course and certainly Bilic sounds like the sort of guy who can get the players performing and in the right mid set but we cannot keep getting 2/3 injuries a game and haven't players half fit. We seem to have lots of ex players older than some of the guys we have playing most weeks - Deeney was often injured late in his spell here for but appears to be in Birmingham's team regularly.
Have Wolves forgotten he isn’t Portuguese? We’ll never hear the end of us sacking him if Edwards got the job !
The reaction of the Wolves fans is classic - laughed at us for sacking him and now yelling 'useless/don't want him/relegation here we come'. Wonder if any of them bothered reading that he hasn't been interviewed for the manager's job - but apparently just for a coaching role.
That wound make more sense - as someone who played at Wolves . Maybe some of our fans would support Wolves given the reaction to Edward being sacked as if he was a family member or friend .
Get him back as a penalty coach - we badly need one. Which puts me in mind of another ex-Hornet, Bobby Howfield. Went to New York to play gridiron and only went onto the field to take place kicks - maybe a rule change along those lines is needed here...
