Any chance of us getting hold of Jordan Ibe from Wycombe? Boy could be a top Premier League striker if he keeps developing like he is (and we don't have much young striking talent coming through right now).
Joel Campbell will prove you wrong. And we don't need a 15 year old forward, we need someone who can get us goals regularly.
So ... anybody who has an interest in talking about this rather than starting a boring argument about youth players? Freeman and Afobe aren't in the same league as Ibe, for the record. And Campbell can't even play in this country as it stands.
we should sign former united player dong, reading striker shane long, and city DM De-jong --Song--De-jong--Frimpong -----Long---Dong
SONG to LONG, DONG, FRIMPING, FRIMPONG DE-JONG, LONG DONG, LONG, DONG, LONG LONGG LLOONNGG DONG DOWN THE MIDDLE SONGGGG
I have to be Ibe's agent to read news linking Arsenal to him, and been at games that he's played in? Wycombe are my local team, which probably explains why I've witnessed him while people here are being flippant about it ... don't have to be a genius to figure out the lad's amazing. Are there any football fans on this forum anymore?
We are not football fans because we have not seen some kid from Wycombe. You are the only one that has watched him on here so what else do you expect the response to be? We can't agree or disagree because we have not seen this kid. But we do disagree about your point on our young forwards. We have Afobe,Campbell and Freeman.
No. Because you don't appear to be following news stories in which we're linked to potential signings, and then mock those who have. As I said before, and you're going to have to trust me on this (considering you haven't seen him and I have) that he is better than Afobe and Freeman. We're talking at least on the same level as Campbell.
No thanks. Until I watch this kid, I will reserve my judgement on that. For now we have Campbell,Freeman and Afobe.
Then ... why are you here? To say "I have no basis to form an opinion on this issue, but my opinion is as follows"? Freeman and Afobe both = average. Campbell is obviously a future star ... but all I was asking was if there was a chance of Ibe being picked up as well (as some have been reporting), considering he's also definitely going to go places.
Your view. My view is that they are two young forwards that have can also become future stars just like you think Ibe will become. Point is this Ibe kid is not a player we should be wasting our time with at the moment. when you think about how short we are upfront. We need another forward and one that can come in for RVP when he needs a rest or is injured. So the last thing we need is wasting time and possible money on this kid in the winter transfer window. It would just piss off the fans.
I have no issue with signing up a 15 year old who looks like he's going to do something special - provided we don't pay a **** load of money for a young teenager as i think it's ridiculous. Comparing him to Campbell however i think is over the top - Campbell looks like a brilliant player - already plays for his country and his finishing looks superb, plus he is pacey so will fit in with our quick front line. Proper star for the future - clearly ahead of our other young players comming through imo. (p.s. i wrote out my first sentence originaly as "I have no issue with picking up a 15 year old who looks like he's going to do something special" - but then realised how very very wrong that reads...)
And for those of you talking about "what we need is a striker to replace RVP" Firstly i think you should give Park a chance to actually prove himself rather than judgeing him too quickly. Secondly if we sign a 15 year old that isn't gonna eat up our transfer budget and stop us being able t move for an experienced player. So if the club want an experieinced player they can get one and this will not be affected by a youth signing - particularly not of a 15 year old.
