Twitter "ITK" suggests he's been interviewed, but it hasn't gone any further yet. We shall see!

Not too surprising, and I don't know if he'd have the control there to want to take it, but certainly interesting.

I am fully behind Webber and want him to stay here, he has done a brilliant job over the last 4 years, not perfect certainly but for me the good far outweighs the bad.

We know he would want a big job in the PL but I struggle to see someone of the size of Chelsea wanting him yet, he has not proved himself at Premier League level for me.

Webber has said he wanted to work on the continent. Still, if asked to interview with Chelsea he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to interview. It would be good experience and a feather in his cap. I can't see him getting the position, though.

Chelsea apparently in advanced talks with Joe Shields of Southampton about their Director of Recruitment role.

Win/Win for us, Norwich haven't stood in Webber's way so no ill feelings, but he's also not achieved enough here to be able to impress a top 6 club.

It's only a matter of time. He's good and I expect him to be directing at Chelsea's level and higher in the not too distant future. I'm glad Norwich didn't stand in his way but I hope Neil Adams is not wasting any time gleaning everything there is to glean from the man while he's still here.

Director of Recruitment and Sporting Director could be separate roles could they not? Although I feel Webber would want to be involved in the recruitment side.

If he gets the position and a massive pay rise good luck to him .

It would be a big loss for Norwich but he would have left us in a better position than when he arrived.
We all had the same loyalty to Mcnally but he quit after getting bullied by a teenager on Twitter if memory serves me.
Nobody is bigger than the club, we have a Brazilian recruitment thing now and the baseball guy

Should Webber leave, I hope the club use it as a chance to bring in more fresh ideas, as well as using Neil Adams (and Zoe Ward, assuming she doesn't leave too?) to continue with the things Webber has set in motion. This should be an opportunity to increase the idea pool and get fresh eyes on the problems the club face, rather than promote from within and assume the path we're on is faultless.
