Not sure why you're dragging this up from several days ago, the debate has since moved on (and ended).

I also can't help but notice OP has been back in this thread since, and chose not to deny it... :lipsrsealed:

I really don't think this is a sexist post mate...

I read it as his obsevation of what he sees and what he hears.

I agree that most of the new female pundits, do use certain buzzwords that don't even fit the paasage of play.

...and the way some females even use terms and phrases that they have just invented, which don't have the gravity or effect to describe incidents during a match. Which is really frustrating.

Sometimes there is a fine line between intended offence, and a point of view which has a plausibility.

I also think that some female pundits are not up to the mark.

However, that is nothing to do with their sex, colour, accent, etc.....some are simply making programs like MOTD and Football Focus, unenjoyable.

But that's only my opinion like...

He's on a mission trawling through loads of posts looking to be offended, and deliberately disrupting the board, I'm afraid :embarrassed:

What's with the complaints of being offended and tagging @brb and @marcusblackcat all about?

Noticed it on a few threads now

Football and Rugby especially are definitely propped up entirely by the proffesional game's riches.

Cricket I'd say is a bit more developed, but still needs help with exposure and cash from the men's game, though there is a case to argue that in the case of women's cricket, that some of that help has been earned . They have pulled some decent crowds in over the last decade at times without being hyped up by Sky or the BBC.

But women's football, while improving, is not for me. Lack of intensity, physicality, speed and power make it a poor watch.

These deficiencies do not really apply so much in cricket IMO, hence I imagine it's better grip.

I can take it or leave it, but I don’t mind the highlights as long as Leamans arse is in them.

I can take it or leave it, women's football that is.
One thing the men's game could learn from them is once fouled just get up and get on with it, the women do and there's less stoppages as a result.
Never seen so many footballers so near to death who suddenly can jump up and resume playing without major surgery.

why not.. i mean, i know this is a really radical kind of 'out there' suggestion, but have men commentate on mens games and women commentate on womens games...i really cannot see anyone getting offended then.

these days, it is a mans game and it is a womans game.

For me all that matters is the quality of the commentary...not their gender..

Some of the women commentators have played more football at a higher level than i could ever dream of in my 'football career'.

The Chelsea manager i rate as a commentator.

I certainly don't think I am a feminist or woke or any of that sort of nonsense either.

    no arguments on that.

as said earlier, some seem to throw these 'buzz words' into the commentary as if to prove they actually know what they are talking about and therefore 'worthy' of the job...as far as i am concerned they can either do the job or they cant, just the same as any bloke can or cant.

i just sometimes get the feeling we are being overloaded with diversity, i even read that some were upset that two black people came last in one of the reality programmes...simple fact: the more POC/gay/whatever that now take part in these programmes will lead to more POC/gay/whatever people being voted off, they wont always win just because they are not straight whites.
