This sums up my points yesterday on everything going down the left where opposition double up on Harrison with hardly anything coming down the right. We dont use Sinisterra in the Raphinha role so Summerville comes on and is redundant trying to get into the game. Rodrigo has scored 4 goals in 3 and got injured but because the team have been crap recently Marsch wants an unfit Bamford to start ahead of Rodrigo. A fully fit and firing Bamford gets my vote but not on his present form
Can't read that without an Athletic subscription doc, but i'd expect us to be low on cross stats when we choose to play narrow. With regard to attacking threat on the right... i'm genuinely not sure why we choose to build on the left so much. We were expecting Kristenson to be this rampaging Ayling clone on the right, but although he did a good job defensively against one of the leagues most potent left wingers - he hasn't offered anything going forward in his time at leeds so far. Is it because we choose to build on the left? Is it lack on confidence from the right sided players? Dunno.
Marsch says he stopped Kristensen from bombing down the right because he was scared of Zaha, and hes done that a couple of times. He faces Martineli next so …. This was in the Phil Hay podcast as Normanton asked the same thing mate
cheers fella... and he'll be scared of Saka too... so we won't attack down either side! Or the centre most likely. Batten down the hatches
