Never forget the rule of losing matches relegates teams.

And no politics, please. Apparently there is a dedicated upload_2022-10-11_14-59-31.jpeg for this :emoticon-0148-yes:

Rupert Lowe was a successful businessman. Didn't know how to run a football club mind

Rather ageist!? No youngsters in there then? Surely the mods need to correct this? Ohh …

Also, it is becoming pretty clear now that he won't be going anywhere this week and will be in charge for the West Ham game.

It is pointless even debating it when we know if it was happening before West Ham it would have already happened. Let's see firstly how we get on against West Ham, then secondly what implications that will have on Ralph's job.

Disclaimer - now I have said that, I fully expect the club to announce Ralph's departure this evening <laugh>

Agree on the SR front. Said already; they’ve invested >£200M & they’re at the sharp end when it comes to money matters. ****ing hope they get it right, for all of us!

If the only reason why Ralph is still in charge is because we're still trying to get someone over the line, then I'm fine with that. I'm rarely a fan of putting a caretaker in charge (maybe Theo wants something to do?). I'd rather a direct transition from manager to manager.

Yes I'm in the "Ralph out" camp now, but I don't want him gone so desperately that I'm pulling my hair out at even the thought of him being in the dugout on Sunday. If the club need a little bit longer yet, then fine.

The logical time to change manager this season would be the break for the World Cup and I think that's when it will happen. SR are probably putting out feelers on other candidates right now and in an ideal world the parting of the ways with Ralph will be a mutual and amicable settlement.

Theo would give the team a real lift.

    Sorry.

i think the point was more that it is MORE embarrassing for middle aged men to have tantrums on Twitter than young people. Which isn’t that ageist when discussing and app that was invented well into the adulthood of such people. But perhaps that is just my opinion

(And yes - it is embarrassing for anyone to have a Twitter tantrum but it is slightly different when it is a teenager)

It’s kind of like how I couldn’t help but laugh when a guy in his 50s mocked me on Twitter for not having followers - as if that means something or is something by I care about. If a 15 year old said that to me I’d at least understand because it is one of the main measures of validation they have known their entire life. But a bloke in his 50s? Not the same in my view

Although i appreciate the original post doesn’t make mention of younger people.

But as to your mod point - do you really want mods to start wading in and “correcting” posts? Surely not

The issue with a caretaker is that aren’t they usually coaches who have been there a while? In our case we’d be making someone caretaker who doesn’t know the club at all having only joined in the summer. I can’t imagine that has happened before (or at least not often)

So as you say - hopefully it is just having a replacement ready to go. Because whilst some may think things can’t get any worse - they certainly can. Stuart Grey and Steve Wigley are examples of that

Not sure he owned the company. He was an employee......

EDIT: To clarify, that is like saying Martin Semmens is a successful businessman - he too is an employee of SFC, but doesn't OWN it. Hasn't put his money into it. Also, SFC in those days was a PLC not privately owned like it is now.

A similar, more accurate analogy would be Markus or Gao.

Gao for his faults ran us as best he could within his financial constraints. Markus we all know about.

Yes. Unfortunately I take everything written here as seriously in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.

But now checking the poster I think we have had this conversation about tone on internet messages before (and very recently) and I have already forgotten

    Oh well

And I don’t spend that much time on Twitter which is kind of the point - when you don’t and don’t harvest followers by making up nonsense apparently that is a problem! But further reinforces why I don’t usually bother

I don’t spend any time on Twitter & I find it strange the people who do, moan about it on here. Anyway, if I can offer any advice, take a breath after reading the posts here & see if there's a grin in there somewhere :emoticon-0148-yes:
