Apologies, but thought I would grab the bull by the horns and get this show on the road (even though we’re at home). I couldn’t see anyone had offered yet, but feel free to delete if I have butted in like a rutting stag. I’ve only ever done one matchday thread … and lost, so in the words of Yazz and the Plastic Population… The Only Way Is Up! Roll up roll up, for the next instalment of the popular quiz show… Where is our next win going to come from? Contestant number one, come on down! So, tell me who you are and where you come from? Hi Bob, my name’s Saints and I’m from Southampton! Nice to meet you Saints. So what do you do for a living? I used to be a milkman, delivering 3 points to the people of Southampton, but I recently lost my bottle(s). I’m currently stealing a living, but hope to change that today, Bob. Sorry to hear that things haven’t been great of late, but good that you are looking to turn things around today. So what are you hoping to win today Saints? Well to be honest Bob, I’m aiming high and hoping to win 3 points and a massive erection! please log in to view this image Well good luck, it’s not going to be easy. And remember, there’s nothing in this game for 2 in a net! Here we go…. We surveyed 32,000 blindly optimistic Saints fans and asked what the score would be for today’s game. I was at both WHU games at SMS last season, and they were lucky to scrape a draw in the league game. Antonio never got a kick. I`ll go for 1:1 this time.
Would bite your hand off for a draw. This feels like a really big game for us already. We need to stop the rot. This game is winnable if we are at our very best
Trying to do a line up in my head and really struggling to pick. Diallo has been utter ****e. The two man midfield with him & JWP doesn’t work. And AMN clearly isn’t a holding midfielder. So we are pretty stuffed.
Is there any future in the idea of playing Lyanco as a CM? We have to have someone there, and the only option seems to be Diallo, who is struggling, so why not give it a try?
Romeu would be perfect for this sort of game - strong and reliable. If AMN isn't a Romeu type player then why did we sign him?
Really lacks any sort of width. Assuming Edozie is fit again... Baz KWP ABK Sally Perraud Diallo JWP AMN Aribo Edozie Adams
Bazunu KWP ABK Salisu Perraud JWP Diallo Ely Arribo A Armstrong Adams is what will be the team, possibly with A Armstrong up front as a 2
