I witnessed a crowd of kids (30+) who had recognised Tim Cahill getting his haircut at a barbers near my house. He came out and spent the best part of an hour signing everything, posing for photos and chatting with the kids. Fair play to him I say maybe he isn't such a bell end after all! ? Also I met Ronaldo in the lift a the Deansgate Hilton a few years ago and have to say he came across as a nice fella. Nah who am I kidding - he REALLY is a tool! Isn't he? Have you ever witnessed or heard something good or bad about a player that changed your opinion of him?
I used to think Rooney was a c..t. Then he had his arse hair transplant Now i think he's a f..king horrible, vile c..t
Michael Owen Liverpool nurtured him and were subsequently financially raped by him when he ran his contract down deliberately to get his move to Real. Then after joining THEM up the road he made a statement along the lines "i was never a Liverpool fan,i was there to take care of my family finacially". Hero to below zero imo.
Mario Ballotelli...Couldn't stand the player last season but this season I think he is a right character. Turned into one of my favourite players in the PL outside of LFC after the man U game.
Yes I alway's thought Gazza was a bit of a twat, then it dawned on me after a while that he was a total twat.
Can it be bad or has to be good? I see the Owen one popped up and the worst part about it was Owen was really good for us too, he scored loads of goals and I remember thinking in 04-05 with Cisse, Owen, baros had just had a stormer at Euro's that we might have a pretty good attack.
I'll go American..... Landon Donovan. I can't stand him, Up until about 2002 and right after I thought who is this? This is the type of player we have been needing to put out, trained in Germany, came to MLS won a few titles with San Jose. Then goes to Leverkusen and complains, can't cut it, went somewhere else, I think Wolfsburg, same thing, said it was too hard. So came back to MLS to be cosy. Went on loan to Everton and did well! Instead he came back to cozy in LA. His game is now stuttering while on the other hand Dempsey's game just keep rising. Donovan bitched out of playing in Europe because he wanted to be in a safer environment in Cali. F*** that, you had a chance to take your game to another level and you passed on it. Twat.
Bellamy when he wasn't playing for us Changed when he was Changed back when he wasn't Changed again when he was Then decided to like him regardless when i found out about his charity work without shouting about it.
William Gallas - obvious reasons. Cristiano Ronaldo - hated him at United, now I love watching him play
Owens top of my list the cheeky ****...and this dates back from before he signed for the scum. Remember when he came back to England and he could have re-joined Liverpool...I remember his interview on joining Newcastle he said about "choosing them because they rolled out the red carpet for him". Did he really believe we should have done the same?? The wages we'd paid over the years had already enabled him to buy a stack of houses AND as much red carpet as he needed to fill said properties. ****
Tevez has to be up there, so much talent at Boca, looked like a man who SAF made a mistake on, then helped take City to that next level and now...... no one likes him and he is shown up to be a mercenary. Steven Fletcher, met him and he is a massive piss-head, yet still wants to take the dummy out of Scotland and Wolves managers.
Not a player but Pardew. Thought he was a total joke of a manager. Got to admit I'm working my way through many portions of humble pie right now (and it's tasting pretty damn good).
Got to throw in a mention for Souness here for his interview with that rag as well. On a more positive note I think most reds would agree with a shout out for Lucas a lesson for any young player in how to keep your head down, work hard and earn a place in the team.
