http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...west-fittest-players-Premier-League-club.html Campbell would be our fastest player last season had he been fit. Intereting to see Gyan was the slowest!
I know that it is from The Mail, but they must have got them figures from somewhere...What worries me is how far we are behind with the distance travelled during a game...It doesn't look well regarding effort expended.
Surely it just depends on team tactics? If your team relies on pace more than others then it's going to get a higher score. If a team uses counter-attacks a lot, then it will score higher on distance as more players run more lengths of the pitch. So on and so forth.
I think all that link proves is that Raul Merieles must have had a hair transplant pre season gone and he's kept it q for Rooney to take all the flak.
haha you do wonder where his hair of date has come from!! He's had is since pre-season and I'm sure last season he had no hair... takes more than a couple months to grow that!
According to that, Larsson is one of the fastest players in the EPL... Hmm... EDIT: And vaughan is the slowest outfield player in the league!
I'm sorry, but crouch doesnt cover more ground than any other spurs player.... Even with his circus like limbs.
Andy Carroll - fastest player at Liverpool? Marc Albrighton slowest player at Villa? what a load of ****e!
If you read it, it says the figures were taken from 1 game. So if our figures were taken from a game on a small pitch say, then they are going to be less than a team playing on a big pitch. Same goes for Gyan maybe he did not get a chance to run at full pace during the game they took the figures from, it could have been a game where he was coming back from a hamstring injury. Basically its not a controlled scientific experiment so its a load of bollox.
As has been said; very subjective evidence to say the least...But what more do you expect from The Daily Mail...
