but Superswan99 (dainumpty) is another one.... Fans are like family. Can't choose them unfortunately. In case you needed reminding, we lost heavily to Man City, Chelsea and (god help us Norwich!) on the road, whilst playing well at times. REALITY CHECK!!!!
Posted this before I left for work, so to everyone who noticed imperfections in the thread, I apologise, I took the internet stats sites as gospel and clearly paid the price! (And also paid the price for not proof-reading it properly ) To Chris, sorry, I wasn't aware you did a match day thread! Should've asked first maybe, but we're rolling now anyway. On to the game, it's nice to see kind words from Kenny Dalglish, and he's said that fans are going to have to be patient, so if he's backing the Swans to be able to retain the ball at times then some fans cries of "it'll be a stroll in the park" could yet prove unfounded. In fairness, the general consensus of the replies is that people aren't expecting to wipe the floor with us, and are expecting a good game. As Ivor and HTR have said, individually Liverpool are a better team, and if they play to 100%, and we play to 100%, then more often than not we'll lose by two or three goals. However, this is football, and I don't know why, but I'm still hopeful of a result. I think it's mostly because I saw Andy Carroll marked out of the game by the same two defenders he'll be up against on Saturday. Ok, he's probably improved a bit, but I don't rate him as anywhere near the player you should be if you have that much money spent on you! Crazy money... That said, he scored (and Phil, it was 2 seasons ago! Newcastle were PL last year...). I'm a little disappointed that Carragher isn't playing, now that I think about it. I'd back him for a red card playing against Dyer and Sinclair!
Don't worry about it! Your thread is excellent and it's given me some ideas which will improve my match threads in the future so it's all good!
Good point, Scott. It's a blow that Carragher isn't playing because he's lost some pace and both Dyer and Sinclair are lightning fast. As good as he's been for Liverpool in the past, I would have predicted all sorts of problems for him against those two.
Swansea captain Gary Monk tells of his fond memory of playing at Anfield to WalesOnline. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...ed-to-banish-liverpool-ghosts-91466-29710455/
Yep,but im hoping for a repeat performance. A mate of mine used to play for the Swans and he was well liked down there, its a pity he never got to play for them in the Prem.
Who's that then? In fairness, I'm worried about Suarez. He plays well, we're in trouble, I think. Carroll I'm not too fussed on. Liable to spank one in from 30 yards if you let him roam all game, but just press him away from goal and he's fairly harmless from what I've seen of him.
You're worse than Robbie Savage mentioning that he's friends with Mancini in every football discussion about Man City
Lee Trundle. Swansea will have to be careful not to put to much emphasis on watching what Suarez does because theres always someone else that'll bite your arse. But Swansea will be given respect by KK and the team and we'll have to earn whatever we get.
I dont know Mancini. And i only mention him when relevant to a discussion on Swansea. And not many lads from Page Moss make a decent living out of footy,so good luck to him.
Foreduckdave, no need to get your nickers in the twist, just because I don't rate your team, and if I want to label these boys as Plastic I'll do so, just live with it! HTR do us a favour, leave out the sanctimonious claptrap, you tart!....... please log in to view this image
You're welcome to your opinion. However, when that opinion is presented upon facts that don't stand scrutiny, don't blame others for correcting you.
