WAR! What is it good for?

It wasn't a missile, most of the force went upwards and in total did little damage to the bridge (one lane of which is still in use).
I think the more likely option is a bomb in the lorry crossing the bridge, this would explain the majority of the thrust going upwards with the chasis/bed of the lorry protecting the bridge.

 

Yeah, I seen that 12 hours later transport was going back across it but it was a massive psychological victory for the Ukrainian people and especially their forces. I can't imagine any Russian soldiers are comfortable, atm. The Ukrainians have shown they can reach anywhere, now.

 

Think it's safe to say there's a lot of ****heads on all sides. It was no small good fortune that there was a calm head as President during the Cuban missile crisis otherwise those wanting it all to kick off would've set off another few nukes.

Unfortunately for Russia they have the lunatic the generals in the U.S. could've had (and probably wanted) back in 1962.

 

Yeah, I said it wasn't a missile. I thought they'd managed to get a truck through that been loaded to the hilt with explosives but it doesn't look like it was that what happened. The outer lane that collapsed is where that van was, tho.

 

I'm expecting a few of Putin's agents to pay the UK a visit sometime soon, start spreading around a bit of nerve agent, just as a Merry Christmas like.

It is, only closed while they cleared the debris.

 

Only one carriageway is open and there are long queues to get across. On the railway only passenger trains are running as they are much lighter than freight

I can see what's going to happen here. The Yanks and Brits will go in and smash the Russians.

The EU will release a statement about how it's been a united victory.

 

I've always thought, if Putin nukes anyone it will be us first, then once we get nuked, the rest of Europe will retaliate with a peace march, while the French and German goverments say can we have some more gas please Mr Putin.

 

Sounds about right. It's shame they can't back their big talk up on the battlefield.

If Putin can manage to land a nuke here which is dubious, for me. He'd have 50 coming back at him and Moscow would be blown away within hours.

 

Feel obliged to point out the french have a larger nuclear force than us and theirs is truly independent .

 

It's not going nuclear and nobody needs more than 20 nukes. So how many they've got is irrelevant to this.
