I wouldn't either mate. I just can't work out how him, Alese, Batth, Ballard, Gooch and Onien can all play together because we need to drop 2 and neither deserve it.

Wright is well down the pecking order.

Wright is an interesting one, he will probably want to play a lot more than he is given the stage he is at in his career, especially with the World Cup coming up. Might be one who fancies a move in January if he's not in the side.

Yes I agree mate. Ballard needs to play when fit imo because hes superior to most defenders in this league. Batth has been absolutely immense and so has Alese so I'm not sure where that leaves him right now

You can tell from the recent comments by Mowbray on Ballard that he will be straight back in when fit. We will end up with a back 4 of Cirkin, Batth, Ballard and Gooch I reckon. Although it would be interesting to see Alese and Ballard as a pairing in the centre but he may see that as too inexperienced and keep Batth in for his height

Ballard played nearly every game for Millwall last year and was arguably their best player so to not have him as an ever present would be abit daft really considered his ability and Championship experience.
That back 4 looks immense mate, but I'll echo what I've said on here numerous times. I think Alese offers more than Cirkin and unless he gets injured or has a bad run of games he can't be dropped so I'd have him over Cirkin

I said a while ago any deal like this we enter in to should be contracted in a way that they have to sign them back to play a certain amount of games in the first season.

That article seems to suggest that they want to buy him and sell him on...surely the lad will know that he is just being used to make a few quid. Worryingly it kind of also means that the buy-back fee must be pretty low if they think they can make a big profit.

Crazy isn't it when you think about it. Back to Spuds for 6m (allegedly the buy back fee) and then off to, for example, Fulham for 10m. What a **** on for everyone involved. I'd tell them to **** off if I was Cirkin.

Wonder if he has any say in the matter or, if he's just another peace of meat

I hope he does tbh. No doubt he will make a lot of money and be on better wages and his agent will make a fair wedge etc. I wouldn't have a problem with him going back to Spurs to compete for a first team place, we can't compete with that. But just to be moved on to a Fulham, Palace, Wolves etc, I'd rather stay here for another few seasons. He is only 20 and got loads of time on his side.

He will have a say as he needs to sign the contract tact bur if he is going to get double or more on wages he will go.

The fact that our players are good enough for these stories / rumours to even exist should be music to fans ears.

Great business by the club no matter what happens

That's a huge call. Cirkin has been outstanding this season. Surely there is space for both in the the team

He’s our best player along with Stewart, find it mental people either don’t rate him or wouldn’t have him in the team

I think Alese could do a job as left wing back if we play a 3. Not convinced about him as a centre half

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t rate him. I know I wouldn’t guarantee anyone a place in the first team. It has to be earned. And if the team are on form, there’s no need to make changes. Back 4 have been excellent recently. Not seen any of yesterday’s game so can’t comment, but before that, no problem with the defence

They were shocking yday so that in itself would be reason to get Cirkin back in. First half was the worst defensive performance for some time.

Aye. But the midfield was overwhelmed really, so they were on a sticky wicket anyway.

But If Cirkin is fit, he gets in for me. Tbh I'd be quite happy with a five anyway. Alesi could handle LWB no bother, and Gooch has always looked better as a wing back than an outright full back.
