    Too old not enough energy

TAA needs to come out of the team or stop being used as a defender.

Funny really, although every other area of the pitch has been fantastic when it comes to transfers, I'm unsure we've signed a midfielder that has worked out well.

An old team against a young team. City will still win the league but we are in a bad place now. Hard to see where we go from here with City up next

Arsenal won’t get close to winning the league. Scrapped a win thanks to a dodgy pen given and a clear pen not given.

That 2nd goal at HT killed us. Go in at 1-1 and we should push on.

Yet again, piss poor defending and going behind yet again. Even when we get back level, we then go behind again.

Salah is robbing a living atm. Guy is having a shocker and needs to have a look at himself.

Gomez again, awful when he came on. Fabinho came on, looked off the pace again. Tsimikas had an absolute shocker. Beaten so easily down that side

    Bad result but fair.

    Legs gone everywhere.

We have to work jota and nunez up but we didn't even get a half out of Bobby at this level, great finish but spent after a half hour at this level.

It could have been worse tbh.

TAA going off improved us defensively but lost us his passing ability, there were no balls over the top to Nunez second half. Losing Diaz was a major blow, hopefully not to bad an injury. Thought we played better today than we have recently, but TAA's defending is still a major weakness as is the age of the side, we had run out of steam after 70 minutes which is not good if you are chasing a game, you may get away with it if you have a lead to defend which this season we seldom have.

Presumably that was somebody (Thiago?) reported there at the end?

I didnt think klopp had signed gini, definitely not thiago.

Fab is a decent defensive midfielder nothing more

Didn’t think we were better defensively at all.

gomez got beaten by an inside pass within 5 mins. Then got done again exact same
pass 15 mins later. The defending for the ‘pen’ was atrocious all round.

Tsimikas was arguably worse player on the pitch but just got lucky they had saka who had awful game on that side so created nothing. He got beaten numerous times by runs behind him. Have to hope Robbo is back soon

    Klopp signed all 3.

Fabinho bene best DM in world for last 4 years before this season.

Can’t say that 3 players that have won everything possible at lfc over last 3 years and were key components are poor signings because they’ve all hit some bad form in last 10 games ffs

The penalty decisions were hard to understand. I thought if you played the ball with your hand in an unnatural position it was a penalty. The defender stopped the ball with his hand. As for the Thiago one, Jesus puts his leg in when Thiago was clearing the ball. Terrible

There was one on Elliott a few minutes later. Not given (shouldnt have been), but just as much contact as the one Arsenal got and never any doubt it was not going to be given.

But ultimately doesn't matter because we were atrocious across all of the field and deserved to lose.

Gomez has that extra pace. It’s why Walker gets away with his awful positioning 90% of the time. Has the pace to run back against most wingers even given them a couple yard headstart

Fab has not been the best defensive midfielder in the world, that's ridiculous.

Thiago has spent more time injured than playing.

That leaves gini, who was signed all the way back in 2016.

Disappointing, but not quite as bad as I feared it might be. At least it wasn't a 4-0 drubbing.
We can save that for next week.
