Good point about Chelsea, though Arsenal are top, and looks like another 3 points today against Liverpool
I’d have taken Bamford off much earlier but not for Rodrigo, just a straight swap for Joffy or Gnonto Paul Merson is a prick but he called it at half time, he said Leeds will run out of steam and Palace will pick them off with the better quality players I was full of optimism during the first half but it’s fast becoming obvious to play like Jesse wants them to is going to require fitness levels on a scale of Bielsaball Sorry opposition coaches are all getting one up on Jesse, the sooner he goes the quicker we can stop this slide
Zero chance, give us a 2 goal head start we’ll still lose, they’ve got a minimum of three goals against us, Arsenal to win 4-0
I'm just finding the positives mate. It's mind numbingly despondent on here a majority of the time. We didn't play for a month and it looked like it against Villa. We were poor and should have lost after going down to 10 men. Thought we were very good first half. Not many teams do that to Palace at their place. We should be ecstatic at that first half. The second half wasn't terrible but yeah we definitely dropped our performance levels but I'll say again, that is expected after playing no games for ages. It's individual mistakes that cost us. Llorente threw the game at Brentford. Cooper tried to be too clever today and it cost us. If we play away from home like that all season we WILL pick up lots of points. Just not today. Bamford is getting match fit. Rodrigos early season form looks to be still present and we create chances. At the back we look more organised but we need to cut out individual errors. Our midfield is very strong.
On the Bamford sub, yeah, I could see that. I think Summerville has been smashing it lately and he wanted him to push Schlupp back as he was causing us issues out wide. I think we just tired like you say. We'll prolly just get the team back match fit in time for the World Cup to start.
When we do the high press against Arsenal they’re going to have an absolute field day, seriously watching them against Liverpool they’ll rip us to shreads
We have no excuses to be tired though, we’re not fit enough for 90 minutes playing the style of football that we do. I also feel Jesse is too slow to respond when the tide starts to turn
Match fitness is a thing. It exists. The players will be fit but 4 weeks without a game together under this system will have an effect. We should have been a couple of goals up at half time at least. On another day we put in the same performance and win the game comfortably. I'm willing to give the time it needs to even out as the season progresses. The team that beat Chelsea haven't just turned to **** overnight. I'm more concerned about confidence levels if we keep losing games we should be getting something out of.
Knives are appearing for Marsch. Not a surprise as footballs a results game and he’s not getting them. However the real issue is this is a bang average squad with no proper strikers and regardless of who’s managing it won’t make any difference. We haven’t the resources to grow in this division. Forget about following the Leicester model and follow the Newcastle one before it’s too late
All very fine harping back to the excellent Chelsea performance. But for every one of those performances we’re having three or four ****e ones. Everything from referee time wasting opponents and var being blamed, but we’re not good enough most of the time simple as
Outplayed at Brighton. Llorente should have equalised last minutes. Thought Everton game was scrappy but its a game I thought we should have won. Llorente mistake allowed them to score first which set Evertons tone for the rest of the game but Pickford was man of the match which is a nod to who were the better side. We were the better side at Brentford. We actually created alot of chances but Llorente again with stupid errors cost us 2 goals and we were shafted by VAR that day. We were terrible against Villa so I agree. Personally, I think we've only deserved to lose against Brighton on the balance of play. Villa should have beaten us but that was due to a red card. When it was 11 vs 11 it was equally **** from both sides.
how does that work then…. With a side built around high energy high pressure players Steve Bruce might be free soon
Rasmus/Llorente/Bamford/Gelhardt. Rodrigos crappy passing. Coops captain cooper the team captain of limited ability and error prone.
Easy you get a coach in who knows what he is doing and either increases the fitness required or tweaks the system Seriously mate, Jesse won't be here come the new year, he is Hockaday v2.0
Honest question. Do you really believe another coach will get anything more out of the current squad because a new manager will have a net budget of zero just like this one
Terrible start to the new week. NRL finished last weekend, AFL the weekend before so no real sport, Leeds lose and that's even not mentioning the cricket.
