Looks like Ralph has told Stuart to move more central, probably because he isn’t protecting KWP

We could destroy the confidence of anyone we buy to play up front. Absolutely no service can do that.

Yes, but it isn’t all Stu Armstrong’s fault. We should be playing 3 CBs. I guess Ralph totally abandoned that idea despite spending the whole of preseason doing it.

Well yes, I agree. I actually think a creative player was more of a priority.

I'm sure the happy clappers will be along shortly to say how well we've played, and how well we've done to limit to only 4 goals.

Silver lining. Probably not be in the relegation zone come the end of the weekend

No. I expected us to start with 3 CBs but they don’t work for us.
The issue is that Stuart and Aribo don’t track back which leaves us wide open down both sides with our CBs being dragged across to cover the FBs.
Stuart got away with it when we pressed as a team as it wasn’t so obvious, but now it is.

Not being funny. But of all the days to start Ely and Djenepo in the wings to help cover... Today was the day. Instead he picked the players less likely to help defend.

Ralph honestly doesn’t have a clue does he. Genuinely think he watches a different team to me

He's trying to protect the 4-0 scoreline. Most consider it to be a success.

I meant the situation rather than the result as such but yeah this is all getting a bit boring now

For me bigger issue is that Diallo isn’t a patch on Romeu. Last season Romeu was effectively a third CB in games like this. I’m not sure Diallo is even a midfielder.

Im sure that would have made all the difference. Or...

Perhaps Ralph thought that our best chance of getting anything was to press them rather than defend deep. Which we did until we conceded a couple.

Maybe Ralph knows that he is being offered the chance to work elsewhere, so he is using his time left to practise some formations for the teams that he will be managing in the future, just to see what might work.

So when we go on a **** run we tend to lose 6 or so on the bounce before maybe pulling off a draw. Do we reckon the club have the balls to pull the trigger now or are we going to wait to lose the next 2?
