If pedro was bringing his own staff, it would have meant demotion at best for daws. Maybe acun is loyal to his staff.
Who knows why it did not occur? Maybe Acun insisted on a certain % of Turkish players to be present in order to keep interest at home and Pedro wouldn't buy it.
The dream team. Nick and Andy. Sadly it won't happen as the owner wants a name. . But boy, it would have been fun. We played some excellent stuff under Barmby. With his mate Andy at his side, and the quality in the squad we'd be knocking at the door. Still onwards and upwards.
Not for long we didn't. A couple of really outstanding performances when he first took the reins, but we soon became predictable and for me he flogged the same players (especially Fryatt) to death rather than using the depth of the squad. He hasn't been in the game for over a decade now and the game has evolved in that time. Fantastic player for us - but I don't want him in the dug-out nowadays.

I know, I’m kidding myself, but it’s understated just how much he did for us behind the scenes and it annoys me that he doesn’t get the fanfare others do.
He’s sent a CV in, he’s on the list, but I don’t think he’s near the top. Acun is willing to give Daws a shot if he starts picking up results.
We only have two Turkish players atm. Tufan and Sinik. We haven’t gone too apeshit like Wolves did with their Portuguese marketing scheme.
