Will Victor Orta and all top Directors of Football be changing their definition on strikers? Haaland is unplayable and has already scored 14 league goals in only 8 premier league games. Premier league is the best league in the world and the kid has smashed records already. Hes also scored 5 goals from 3 CL appearances so 19 goals this season so far from only 10 games. Surely Orta and the rest will be looking at strikers who could do what Haaland is doing. A big powerful beast who smashes through defenders…… the next best English striker is Harry Kane with 7 goals thats 12 fewer than Alfies lad and Kane takes penalties. Which strikers are similar to Haaland anywhere and remember that Pep used false 9s for a while since Aguero and he sold Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal and he is doing pretty well scoring for them, but Haaland is something else and redefines what a striker should be? Zlatan, Dybala, Lao, Pedro? Victor Orta has been scouting Pedro for months according to Fabrizio Romano. The 6ft 2ins powerhouse now has 21 goals in his last 18 games for club and country. Not to mention three hat-tricks this season alone. “I hope I can continue to evolve,” Pedro adds. A scary thought indeed. According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United have been monitoring Pedro ‘for a long time’. And, with Haaland already making space on his mantelpiece for the Golden Boot, Pedro’s potential arrival on English shores is the last thing those battered and bruised Premier League defenders need right now. Would be better option than CDK or Gakpo. Pedro has already scored 28 goals in 56 games this year for Flamengo. He scored 12 in 12 in the Copa Libertadores (S American Champions League) in the league he has already scored 12 in 22 games. He is only 25yo so can see why Orta likes him and he is only costing £11m so get that one done Victor

Still non stop stories from clickbait sites about players Leeds will be bringing in come January or June 23. Some names we always get lumped with but a couple that have some merit and have truth. Truth however doesnt mean we are or are trying to, it really means we have been looking. Cody Gakpo is a true story for instance but he is probably already out of our price bucket. So here we go:

    Cody Gakpo

    Kai Wagner

    Ben Brereton-Diaz

    Christian Pulisic

    Ivan Toney

    Daichi Kamada

    Ryan Kent

    Noah Okafor

    Pedro

Looks like Orta is not taking the Chelsea gig as it seems a new Director of Football will be announced within the next few days and looks like yet another from the Red Bull stable

True. He isn’t just power. He just seems to know where the ball will break allowing him to score. Fantastic analysis on his second goal in the CL, on. BT sport, that looked like a tap in summed him up.

Pedro one of the hottest properties in Brazil. Cheap enough, young enough, mobile enough, but could he replicate his prowess in the prem?

Can we sign Haalands kids as soon as they’re born. Can’t go wrong. On a positive note we got our pickup times for the Fulham game. 5.50 for myself on Saturday. 41 travelling all with tickets

Nothing to do with me Milky, this is a story from Fabrizio Romano and if he says we have been looking at him for months? I had never heard of this particular Pedro :emoticon-0148-yes:

Haaland is not human. I swear to god I wouldn't be surprised if he smashes the 40 to 50 mark this season.

Are we sure Alfie didn't create him in a dingy basement in Leeds City Center?

Pedro is meant to be fantastic but the rumour has been doing the rounds since late August. Roughly the same we were supposedly in for Deng and Gakpo.

If it's true then I reckon we'll get him in January alongside Wagner. If that one comes to pass.

Ben Brereton-Diaz has already scored 5 for Blackburn, and has a healthy 6.75 rating on WhoScored. Surely 20m is a no brainer?

We are not going to attract a 35m - 40m player, even if they are worth it.

The problem is that Diaz is wanted by a lot of lower Prem sides. We'd be in for a tough battle to get him. Same with Sarr at Watford. This is probably the reason we're looking in America, Brazil and Ukraine. Less known players and easier to sign.

It was around the time no one could decide which Pedro we were or weren’t after. I’ve never seen anything of him, but he looked a bit one-paced and unspectacular in that vid. His scoring record is decent but not outstanding in an ok league.

Hey, he could be outstanding. It’s just a throw away comment from watching a couple of minutes of vid <cheers>

He’s out of contract in the summer. If Blackburn have a sniff of promotion they’ll try and hang on to him. If they’re mid table they’ll try and get a few quid in Jan from any side is in the the Prem relegation battle.
So I hope we don’t try to sign him because:
    A) it means we’re struggling
    B) I don’t really rate him.

There is that point as well. You look at English clubs and they put a premium on players. You're probably looking at £20 to £30 million for Watkins at Villa. You take someone with the same amount on of talent in the MLS and you're looking at half that price. If Koch was English and playing for let's say Everton then we would have paid a bucket load. I said on Twitter when we were linked with that guy from Atlas. There is talent out there you just need to know where to look.

I reckon if you went to Ireland or Scotland you could probably pick up a couple of decent players roughly about 20 years old with bags of potential but then you would get fans bitching that we signed from 'farmers League:

If it’s true that we turned him down as a 17year old because we thought 5 million was too much, I’m hoping that person is working on a checkout at a local supermarket and never involved with football again

Can’t speak for Scotland but we don’t seem able to produce players here anymore fit for even a mid table pl team. Nothing wrong with the coaching but huge opposition from gaa to attracting promising kids and even the rugby

A new rule is going to be passed for next season, basically allowing young overseas players into the country easier than the points based system we have since brexit. Remember a player is awarded points for league position of his team, how far he got in the cups, has he an international appearance etc etc. young kids couldnt get a visa but the new rule is going to allow it. So is that good for English kids or English clubs grabbing overseas kids ….. mind you a shyt load of English kids end up in Germany and Holland…
