Like with Steve Cooper, i'm still hoping that Ralph can find the magic formula with the new players but he hasn't got long to do it (until the WC i'd suggest) and we desperately need the confidence and momentum that a few points and good performances bring.

Eh? We were willing to spend over £30mill on a striker. The fact we didn't get a striker in was nothing to do with not being able to afford one.
No one has been able to come up with a theory as to why Marsch would leave Leeds for us - assuming we are prepared to buy out his contract (which I expect we definitely can afford to do)

Yeah they seemed a bit erratic with some of their decisions but this is definitely a clear minded one.
Wonder where we would be now if we’d gone the Howe or Potter route? We could have quite possibly burnt either of them as well.
At what point in time? When we hired Ralph? Wasn’t Howe still at Bournemouth? Were we even linked with Potter ? I might be wrong but I don’t think Ralph deserved sacking at the times when Howe was available and when Potter moved to Brighton. And under Gao we definitely didn’t have the money to both sack Ralph and bring in an employed manager by buying out a contract
I do think that we should get away from the "we are broke" theory of the last few years. Gao is long gone. We probably have as much backing as more than half the Premier now, we may not spend it all at once, but it is there.
Just like it was reported that Ings signed a new deal, that we were keeping Koeman, that Van dijk was staying… etc. etc. We probs didn’t have the money to pay for a premier league quality striker, as usual. The press “leaks” were to soften the fan base

He reported it, a Dutch reporter close to PSV reported it. It was reported all summer we had money to spend. It was widely reported that SR were willing to sign off on a big money transfer. We spent well over 60mill before we sold anyone. What more evidence do people want that there is money there to be spent?
