You don’t fly someone half way around the world and back without first knowing what wage he wants. No in my limited opinion it was nothing to do with money, he tried a local chippy and put chip spice on. “ No way your having a case of chip spice every week to send home to Portugal mate “ said Acun, there’d not be enough left to go around. Something as simple as chip spice scuppered the deal. You can have our woman but you’ll never get our chip spice….
Is that a dusty bin type clue we’re getting an Argentinian manager??? You’re all singing it now admit it
Daws will win the next five, get the permanent, then lose the following ten, before getting the tintack. It's the City way. Those with vintage on the CV will recall such an occasion.
I need to do the lottery tomorrow....though Seville, rather than the black country. I guess you can understand why.
Someone had had a word in his ear to say you might get the wolves gig but wouldn’t it be so ****ing funny if they gave it to someone else and the prat stats unemployed lol
I personally think we need someone in permanent quickly. There is a transfer window around the corner and any new manager would know what he wants in terms of players... I agree Acun needs to wind his neck in a bit...
I would like to share an update on the Head Coach position with our fans. After extensive discussions with Pedro Martins, we have been unable to reach a mutually agreeable position so we have made the decision to cancel negotiations. Pedro is a great coach but we didn’t feel we were able to meet his demands, so we thank him for his interest in Hull City and wish him all the best for the future. Our team is in very capable hands with club legend Andy Dawson and we are more than happy with the work he and his team have done in the last week. The atmosphere in the stadium on Wednesday made it clear to me that we have a very unified club, and the support given to Andy and the players from the fans was amazing to see. With all of the above in mind, Andy will remain in charge of the first team until further notice. We have been inundated with interest from high-calibre coaches around the world and we will continue to consider all of our options until we find the correct candidate to lead this great club forward. This is a very important decision for us and not something we want to rush. We are fortunate that the stability Andy and his team brings allows us the time to get this decision right. As I said at the start of our journey together, we will operate with transparency and keep supporters updated throughout this process. As ever, I would like to thank our fans for their wonderful support. It’s an amazing feeling to know we are all pulling in the same direction and we will keep fighting together to bring the success this club deserves. Up the Tigers! Club News
Can't help thinking Acun might be finding that managing a football club, recruiting the right players and the right manager is quite difficult! Let's hope he has the humility to learn. On the back of Andy Dawson's interviews so far, his team selection and tactics on Wednesday and the clear evidence the players have responded to him, I'm interested to see how it develops!
Heart sort of agrees. Would be great if we broke the mould sort of thing by backing Daws and giving him a coaching team with the likes of Rosie, Barmby, etc). It would be brilliant if it worked out. Head says don't be so stupid.
