You know what, it is the right time, but I hope the players pull their socks up and play their hearts out on Sunday to give him at least a performance befitting of a man that put his heart and soul into the club over a very difficult period.
From the BBC. Gossip today . Southampton are set to sack manager Ralph Hasenhuttl after the club's poor start to the season. (Telegraph - subscription required) Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is a potential candidate to replace Hasenhuttl at St Mary's. (Mail)
If this is the case I wish they would get it over with. Can’t do Ralph or the team any good having this looming. I was shocked when Adkins was sacked but maybe that’s the best way of doing it?
It all depends on the Forest board though. They might take a long time in searching for a replacement. If Cooper was available now then maybe Ralph would already been gone.
The Cooper rumours are all over the NewsNow feeds, if true that appointment doesn't excite me at all, quite the opposite but there again it cant be any worse than things are now....could it?
Aside from The Athletic, nothing yet from those who are usually close to the club, particularly Blackmore. Silence is deafening?
I appreciate our target may not be available/convinced yet, but if the board has already made its mind up to sack Ralph, before City would have been a good time to do it. Not going to get anything either way, so it gives us more time to get used to the news and then make progress on signing up a replacement.
Ralph's pre-match press conference shortly should be er......interesting. Feel for him TBH given the inevitable barrage of questions that will come his way shortly.
The sensing of Ralph's blood gets the sharks circling. It all seems a bit crass to me, still that's footy fans for you.
