So Rebekah has to pay out circa £2m [ eventually to others bills! ] that must be a bill of some £3-4m for her selfish actions in selling out her friend!

Covid, at a time when money is so tight what is to be gained by a massive inquiry into the pro's and cons of what we did [.gov ] with respect to covid. Apparently they are breaking it down into a number of separate segments... what is the outcome other than because of the unknown a few errors were made and some amazing actions saved many lives. there is no guilt and credit was all in the line of duty, people doing their best

(But with the benefit of hindsight)… Everything should have been dealt with effectively and no one would have been inconvenienced!!

totally, now you have some jobsworth needing something to do and waste a load of money the cost of this fiasco would pay for a a couple dozen nurses a couple dozen ambulance crews half a dozen doctors to be trained ove the next 4 -5 years. Instead we will get an opinion, chapter 1, written in 4087 pages on hindsight confirming what we know ... along with chapter 2 2975 pages of what could be done better next time ... which we know .. Chapter 3 the thanks and back slapping of those taking part, mostly the panel. It is then printed A4 SIZE WITH QUALITY PAPER FROM 9731 tree's using £xxxxx's of electric at a phenominal cost...

Now we have the Benefit of hindsight we need to evaluate what we did well, and where we made mistakes . That’s how we learn and make sure that we are more prepared for next time, and ensure we don’t make the same mistakes again.

He was trying to point out things at the time, as he saw it, without the benefit of hindsight. Rather than dismissing his ideas out of political dogma, it may also be worth using hindsight now to also see if any of his suggestions at the time had merit. It pays to be open minded about these things, I know that’s a concept you struggle with, try it sometime, you never know, you might even find you like it. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I honestly have no time for those parasitic wastes of plasma - Vardy in particular - what a vile creature.
I also can’t stand how much money effort and news time has been wasted on this spat.
Writing this post is as much time as I’ve ever spent on this story - when I see it in the news I flick forward or change channels.

I dont struggle with it at all merely state what has been said by others.. .. your comment is off the mark. Not only did polticians but also people in the street and the media pick up on the number of times "he suggested something, agreed with something" but at a later date tried to spin it. His "title cap'n H " still gets used today. In fact he is looking back at what made the tories successful in the eyes of the public pre last election, and now adopting it as his " labour party policies!" ......although I may add he hasnt said nothing about building new hospitals .yet!

Also how much the media has made out of sales etc! The judge has stated only about 90% of Rooney's legal fee's are due from Vardy so Rooneys fee likely to be £2m so hers has to be the same + thats a total of £4m one could say maybe court fee's.... also additional police presence .... hangers on etc ... so not much change out of £5m, ......... if Vardy is on £40k a week = disposable income of about £900k pa he has played for 5 years for nothing!

it has been massively dissapointing .. in 2020 I submitted 10 areas in my "walk zones" and close to 800 [ mixed ]butterflies on the survey list with maybe another 50+ non listed [ mixed ] specimens 2022 although 2022 only did 7 areas [ 4 were highest count areas of 2020 ] I managed less than 100 with maybe another 50 in other 3 areas. Marbled white in 2020 were over 200 2022 less than 20 Speckled wood 2020 were 132 2022 27 meadow brown were 2020 256 2022 39 ... Red admiral in 2020 57 2022 9. This year did see around 40 "blues" 3 species of fritillary 11 in total Red admiral 9 Orange tips 2020 37 2022 none [ females look like small whites so ? ] large whites 2020 126 2022 38 / small white 102 in 2022 45 .....
Not checked the list yet.. cheers heads up WIZ my butterfly conservation monthly arrives later this month!
note AVON WILDLIFE TRUST is responsible for grass keep etc on Stockwood open space ... they organised a very late first [ only cut ] for hay in all the paddocks, it must have killed off all the Marble white/meadow brown / ringlets /gatekeeper chrysalis that over winter in the grass??? 2021 was a disaster in all these areas cut ......
