    Honestly think derby’s record might go!!

    Pep almost could’ve been having a sly dig at them the other day. Not sure if it was aimed at Forest but it was something along the the lines of “we have a 25 man squad. If you have too many players you can’t keep them all happy” or words to that effect!!

    Mike Ashley? One of the better owners of a football club there has been in recent decades not sure why he was the comparison. He ran the mags very well just didn't go along with their belief they should be competing with league leaders for transfers and in champions league.

    So he got slagged off by that lot and any mp wanting to win a few votes in Newcastle areas. Unfortunately media jumped on it a bit aswell.

    But they were never close to going under with him in charge!

    If things financially had stayed the way they were when Ashley bought Newcastle then they would have more than competed with the top end. However the costs of financing a top football club continued to snowball pretty quickly, way beyond Ashleys means. If I'd have had Ashleys money there is no way I would have continued to pump it into a football club. I could understand that Ashleys decision making was the problem, and the folk he let run the club beneath him. Alot of his decisions almost seemed like he was having a go at the fans. But town fans having a pop at his spending was totally unjustified.

    The comparison was down to the media and public perception tbh mate.

    I didn't mean it in a derogatory way, just a bit of a lazy choice tbh.
