If he is to sign or has already done so, this is a hell of a coup, he is better than expected, and it looks as if Acun has been at his most persuasive.
Yes the more I look into his record the more I am excited about the appointment. The fact he lasted 4 years at Olympiakos alone is a huge achievement.
Wow... I'll hold back my excitement until it's official but Acun really has pulled a rabbit out the hat with this one.. Is this maybe a better appointment and a better manager than Silva was?
"Steven Toast, post: 161 They then beat Arsenal at the Emirates a few weeks later. But that’s nothing to brag about, we did it first.[/QUOTE] Tell that to West Ham.
Probably if they've more recently been in receipt of parachute payments - it's all about the money. How recently were they in L1?
He was last week in portugues Canal 11 saying there was a lot of interest from top brazilian teams. I would prefer Carvalhal but Pedro is very good too.
In terms of achievements Martins has took 3 consecutive Portuguese top flight teams into the Europa league (Vitoria, Rio Ave, Maritimo) - hardly top Portuguese teams. You need to finish Top 5 to qualify and bearing in mind you have Porto, Benfica & Sporting Lisbon usually bagging 3 of these spaces it’s a great achievement). I should note the 3 teams he managed are currently 9th, 10th and 18th out of 18 teams.
If this is true, it’s very similar to the players we got in the summer, I know nothing about any of them. It seems exciting, sounds exciting, but I haven’t felt this disconnected from Hull City for a long time. I don’t know why, maybe it’s since covid, maybe it’s the whole Shota circus, maybe it’s football in general. I follow the results in football in general, just don’t seem as excited as I used to be. Maybe getting to a game will help.
Read somewhere he lost a champions league game he was expected to win after winning more CL games for them than any other manager. Olmpiakos managers don't usually last as long as he did.
They are owned by the Forest Owner , who likes to hire and fire. to last 4 years under him is a great achievement
