Generally City playing quite well.. Massengo close to getting his first goal.. we look lively in the final 3rd, but still vulnerable at the back.. Ha ha, just heard on of our fans shout “ get rid of the f, ing thing when Naismith had the ball!!
Lifeless so far and we need to wake up and start making some decent passes. All the time we spend passing back across the pitch we allow them to get 9/10 men behind the ball.
So far the only player making things happen quickly is Massengo.. Semenyo playing far too deep for my liking.. Weimann has loads of space out on the left.. Naismith off for Williams through injury
Predictably boring football including the usual mistakes and passing makes me think we could lose 0-1 late in the game. It would be interesting to see the stats on our passing to see what percentage go backwards. Weimann is more than capable of finding loads of space but we don't have the class to find him. Semenyo looks to be sitting too far back which takes him away from where he needs to be. Naismith off injured forced us to make an earlier change than we expected and it will be interesting to see if there are any further changes after half time.
HT 0-0. We look a bit predictable final 3rd. Both teams cancelling each other out. Semenyo testing the keeper out once, Massengo cam close with a shot just going wide. Bentley not much to do, although we still seem to have a mistake in us.. Stalemate 1st half.. all a bit boring.. but not losing.. we need to notch up a gear to grab 3 points
I sit between the penalty box and halfway line and thought we are static up front. Semenyo having to drop deep to get the ball surrounded by their defender all the time. Vyner had the ball twice and no one moving just stood there like statues.
Great tackle from Vyner saves us, they then they hit the bar from a header off the line from Sykes.. we got lucky So far, Coventry have the better of it in 2nd half
I think the foul and the response from the Cov player could have been reds on another day and another ref for sure
Bit disappointing, Coventry were there for the taking.. had some good chances themselves.. not sure how many crosses Dasilva launched in. Lacked quality finishing. We looked better when Conway came on, stayed in the box more than Semenyo.. Massengo kept the moves flowing, Vyner and Weimann put a decent shift in.. King did ok CB.. At least it’s a clean sheet and we didn’t lose..
