mmmm That's a worry, could be November before they come back.....NP could be toast by then, if the defeats continue...in the same fashion..
I hope not if I'm honest, as I've been liking our approach this season.....let down by unavoidable defensive errors, which even with the current team I believe could be ironed out....let's be honest, some of the mistakes are what you'd expect from a pub team!!

Will it then, though? Both of them played a lot last season and we were every bit as bad defensively then. No matter how many different players are used, we still look all at sea in defence, that eventually has to be down to the coaching and tactical setup being deployed by the manager. Or, our entire defence is useless, which doesn't say a lot for NP's scouting and transfer selection as it's pretty much the only area of the team he has added to during his tenure. And quite significantly at that, with only DaSilva, Kalas and Vyner at the club when he arrived.

    I think it will.
We've improved in midfield and up front so far this season from last.
I think Kalas as a CH will make the difference replacing Vyner.
Pearson then has the option with Klose and Atkinson available to move Naismith into defensive midfield should he want.

I'm not certain we have improved that much in midfield. Maybe from the start of the season, but not the end of the season, but we definitely have upfront. Many of the same players but a renewed sense of working together, and the goals being distributed more evenly across the strikers.

we stand at GF 20 and GA 18 so... 7 better off and just an extra 4 conceeded ... defence is "worse" than last season! It must play on the nerves a bit to be scoring so many and leaking more!
pattern is changing .. score a few and lose as we giveaway our lead ... now losing as we chase the game!!
Simple? we score 1 [ or 2 ] and easier to defend as they need at least 2 so they are open at the back so allow us forward ... they score 1 or 2 and we are open at the back so allow them forward ..
    he who scores first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Opinions eh.
Pretty convinced nevertheless, that Kalas will be an improvement on Vyner and defence overall.
I criticise Vyner defensively (you may have noticed <laugh>) but he is a threat in the opposition box.

Ps I don't like Massengo and King in midfield if we play 3/5/2 tonight. But does have Pearson have another option ?

Or will Pearson play a back 4 and Naismith sitting in midfield ?

On a serious note, who would play on the right side of the 3 if Vyner dops out? From memory, isn't Kalas a left-footer? I guess it would have to be Atkinson, then.

My wish for tonight, other than a commanding win, would be for Massengo to finally score a goal. I have been a serial moaner about this guy and perhaps tonight could be the time for him to shine.

I'd play Klose Kalas and Atkinson and Naismith in a future midfield if Pearson plays a back 3.
Think his preference is playing a back 4, so Kalas and Atkinson centrally but further confusion as DaSilva at LB worries me.
To me it illustrates the dodgy situation Pearson is in and has very few options.

Several mistakes at the back just highlight our deficiencies. Atkinson,Vyner the culprits.
