Phew ... just got my power back after the snow, thought for a while that I was going to miss our first away win of the season.

Great article ScottSwan! And here we are; our first match against a top team where we are starting to feel that we belong, starting to believe, playing our brand of football with charisma and confidence. This is going to be one hell of a good game. Liverpool will be aggressive at home looking for the win, as they should, and we will be trying to control possession and based on last Saturday's game against Bolton attack on the break with speed and flair. Allen - will he get MOTM again - our little Allchurch in the making is coming along very nicely.

Well that's the problem isn't it though, that confidence is always tested due to our recent years we have lost a bit of that edge we have had on teams. I think we can win because they play a bit more open than Norwich for example but even still, finishing the chances! I think we are due a thumping on someone, maybe this game?

You gonna try and catch Houston tonight?

Our problem has always been against small, relegation battling teams (no offence Swansea). Our players have no problem in lifting their game for Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal etc over the past couple of years yet against the smaller sides at Anfield we've been found wanting. Man Utd have been the opposite, they've sometimes struggled against the better teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea but they smash most of the smaller teams they play, meaning they end above us with more points in the league.

I hope we're starting to sort that out now, but 3 out of 5 draws aat home this season indicates we haven't sorted it out yet!

With the play-off system it is always a toss up but KC look pretty good and are solid all the way around, i would love to see houston get there but not sure if they have enough to get by KC. I think LA might if they can get by the NY. RSL went from looking like they could take it to almost ****ting the bed last night against Seattle!

So, I want Houston to, but I think it will be KC or LA.

Didn't realize that. Amazing where we could be if we finished our chances against Norwich and Sunderland.

I think it'll suit Dynamo to be outsiders(less pressure),anyway i hope Beckham and bluenose Donovan dont get winners medals.

Agree with the LA part and if they don't do it this year then I really don't know when they can! RSL should provide stern competition and jason kreis has them playing good footy as well. Houston's RB Sarkodie, I play indoor here with his brother, genetic freaks they are!

back on topic, I think we can and should win this game, but after Lucaaas put that home record up, I will be nervous until I see it is 2-0, maybe not even until 3-0.

I once knew a (splutter, cough) Cardiff City fan who always posted "WE WILL WIN" on their old 606. Poor old TigerBay, remember him? His lot stopped him doing it in the end.

I would start this game with the same 11 we started at West Brom. If we start as we did aginst Norwich AND take our chances then we should stroll this.

Agree on the same starting 11, they looked quite good together, although Downing seems to have lost confidence and would be my one player maybe thinking about replacing but with who, not sure, possibly a Bellamy.

I want a spell of Bellamy too. Same defence (sorry Carra). They were solid as a rock against WBA

It was nice to finally see the defense without Carra. I know he has been awesome for us but we need to get that Skrtel Agger partnership going or Agger/Coates-Wilson-Wisdom-Kelly whoever down the line.

Downing just needs to relax and let his game flow. When he gets a goal, I can see him going on a bit of a run.

Bellamy should be kept on the bench and released as the Swansea defence starts to tire. I still fancy seeing that Bellamy, Suarez, Kuyt forward line though.
