Yes it's been a great effort. But it's also true that we took a risk on just haing two strikers. It isn't easy to get a striker to turn up and know hel'l be behind LND and Simms but most clubs do have at least a third option. But it's done now, we'll have to get on with it. There are some good players there and we are making openings. I did think yesterday though that we needed a focal point.
Yeah I we have had some good results. We have been good to watch all season, even Boro imo our worst performance we weren't terrible. I think the lads were knocked by LND going off during the warm up, they know like us how important he is to how we play and it also probably gave Boro a boost.
On another happy note, our new seats are very good with what appears to be some decent people around us. I dread to think what stat man and mr negative made of yesterday's game.
i had this new bloke....hopefully was a one off next to be yesterday....who constantly shouted switch it, was doing my head it as was even when it wasnt on, had no idea what hecwas watching 12 year old said on way back home....dad the man didnt have a clue, why was he shouting switch all the time it wasnt even on. i have no issue people not understand but pretending i dont understand. i wonder if i could put this bloke in touch & he could get yer old seats?
I'm pretty sure Ross would have made a difference yesterday but not sure there's many third choice strikers that would. Preston obviously have a way of not conceding goals (bore the opposition to death?).
He would be perfect for them I was happy with those around us actually being positive about the team and appreciating some of the good play
i was upstairs yesterday, and was told, the 3 of the top table are in France looking at someone with Eric Roy. Also had a good chat with Ross, he seems happy enough, but would not comment on the Everton situation.
I had no idea he was there so had a smile when I read this. Maybe he has chucked a couple of days holiday in, filled in comment section with "Off to France to look at a player for the lads! See ya in a few days!"
Along with his wife and his brother his uncle and Eric, Eric was his dad's 1st venture into sponsorship with Adidas, at Marseille bet you didn't knar that.
There'll be scouts there every time he plays. If Everton are interested there'll be others. Sunderland are no longer soft touches and if he goes it'll be at the end of a bidding war. It's great when almost your entire squad is worth more than we paid ... ... only a couple of years ago that was exactly the opposite.
