I'm just waiting for Gary Neville to 'mobilise' the nation like he did against the European super league.
He will be chomping at the bit to get involved I reckon. I bet he does a lot more over the next 6-12 months. Him going to the Labour party conference was only the beginning imo.
My tory mate admits to tossing off over Truss Have you not noticed some of the low cleavage tops she's now waring? The Mrs is now snoring in the bedroom, off to heaven I stumble. God bless you all
So the most critical aspect of the budget, that would get the economy moving and end this crisis ... ... has been dumped by Truss and Kwasi this morning FFS, Truss was saying it was vital and she certainly wasn't afraid of making difficult decisions and sticking to them, 'Adamant' she said ... ... then, ONE day later she does the exact opposite. What an absolute shambles.
We're often told we're subjected to 'cyber attacks', from China and Russia, designed to destabilise our economy and send the country into a panic ... .... them lads'll be sitting with their feet up at home today laughing their nuts off
And now we're in the position where if the mini budget doesn't work, they've got an excuse...... Easy this politics lark.
I mean, it was very poorly presented, surely with a policy change like this you'd have a few figures ready to go - we know that in several cases the tax take has actually risen when rates are cut, so why not tell us how much extra they think it will generate? I'm not a fan generally of governments backing down, regardless of rosette colour. Have the courage of your convictions and live or die by the results of your decisions.
I was just trying to point out it’s a no win situation for any government, the lads who criticise don’t want them to change really, they just want to bash which ever government they don’t support. Bit like children arguing in a school playground.
Agreed. When Cameron said he wanted rid of Punch and Judy politics, and Corbyn wanted kinder, gentler politics, it's gotten even more tribal, childish and nasty.
What a bloody **** show this is turning out to be. And all since last Friday, 10 days....that's some going mind. For some reason this scene popped into my head when I was thinking of how the cabinet might have discussed it.... Del playing the part of Kwarteng, and Raquel as Thick Lizzy.
