    Up until now, imo Shearers record was going to be safe for the next 20 odd years. People said Kane could possibly beat it 71 to go,he still could but he's pushing 30 needing roughly 22 ish goals a season over the next 3 years. Haaland could be a possibility, but I get the feeling he'll fancy and crack in Italy,France and Spain.

    Kane only one with a chance as it is very few players that won't want to go to play in other countries, when they are capable of scoring I'm the 20s every season. Even the young English lads are more willing to go abroad these days.

    That's what I mean. Players like Ronaldo would've smashed the record, but was destined to play for Madrid. Haaland will go to Barca or Madrid imo. Young enough to go a win everything everywhere. I'd like Kane to do it though.

    If he takes City to a champions league win I think he'll stick around for the long term. I'm not sure what would entice him away if they can finally get success in Europe.

    My guess is that if he finds a winning formula somewhere he'll stay there and won't move about for the sake of it.

    I watched harry kane go through 2 Sunderland players after being booked at the SOL. Developed a dislike for him which has never subsided. Just like shearer, massively protected by officials all through his career. Hope he breaks no records other than shearers and wins no trophies (unless it’s the World Cup, but, let’s be honest, that’s not exactly looking likely!!)
