Seems pretty unlikely to me that a guy who's managed one game for his current club and is no doubt on huge money will be coming. It also looks like he accepted the job in the UAE before Blackburn had made a decision.
I thought it was Ferguson myself but he isn't English, and I know the reasons why English managers don't get the opportunity but that simply reinforces my view regarding NT' comment about English managers.
Experience of championships Out of work Dealt with high quality players It's all adding up Its zidane
Or the fact that the most talented coaches domestically didn’t have glorious careers so have noses turned up at them and end up in the depths of the football league trying to imprint their modern styles on sides with zero ambition. Example: Brian Barry Murphy who’s now Manchester City’s u23 manager. He managed Rochdale whilst we were in league 1 and attempted to implement a modern style but fell foul to the lack of quality in his squad but clearly Pep Guardiola arguably the greatest coach ever feels he’s a good coach for developing players to make the step from youth football to mens in his style.
It doesn’t have to be somebody out of work, money isn’t the issue, it’s finding somebody that’s going to coach these players properly and get them doing the basics right.
Well there won’t be anything today I’d have thought, but I think by the Wigan game we’ll have a good idea of who it will be.
Adrian Barry at Chelsea is another example, though he’s never managed, he has a brilliant reputation for coaching young lads and is currently working with the Belgium national team.
Was it Sian Khan? The Asian one ? looks lovely, 3rd time here but not been for about 6 years, lots of changes, they are reclaiming the ruins so a lot of the cafes and restaurants I remember have gone.
QPR look brilliant and Beale didn’t have a professional career. Brum look pretty solid too under Eustace. Plenty of them out there just a big gamble in the sense of appointing them as it’s rare fans get on board from the start. But I believe times have changed and this is the way forward now.
