Did you have to take tablet (electronic) for him? My granddaughter insist on taking hers all the time.
Defence shocking today -kamikaze defending for me Vyner and DeSilva are weak links. Naismith needs to sort his head out costing us many points already and issues again today.Atkinson was poor today. Midfield was poor-Weimann had a bad day at the office.Wells was the only one that gave his all.Semenyo-Williams-Sykes were poor. Conway had a below par performance. Big game Tuesday night against Coventry need three points 0 from 9 not good.
I didn’t get too elated when we strung a few wins together so I’m not going to implode now we’ve lost a few - however, the stories I’m reading about our defence is worrying. It’s the same old story.
There first goal knocked the stuffing out of us after we had so much possession without working their keeper, we were ragged at best after that.. Every attack from QPR had us in panic stations, could have been so much worse. IMO with the expectations drummed up by some, it was one of our worst performances of the season..
I was in the gym after the game for two hours-deserved knowt today-definitely kamikaze defending Vyner and DeSilva weak links with Naismith looking well dodgy once again.
Not sure why you're intent to picking on DeSilva and Vyner........(Vyner was the only one working their keeper in the first half) I thought Akinson & Naismith had pretty poor games...the only player that came out with glory was Scott IMO.. the rest way below par.. From the off, we had so much possession, but rarely did we have any conviction towards their goal....but one break from them and we went into panic mode... I'm not sure why we haven't learnt the lesson on how to defend and how to maintain concentration......it's gonna become a relegation battle if we don't sort it, as teams are working out how to deal with our attacking game..
Just watched the goals 1st goal - Hard to criticise any of the defenders tbh. Very unlucky with the deflection off Bentley. It looked a VERY tight call for offside against Johansen. Defo one for VAR if we had it. 2nd goal - Sykes and Atkinson were weak and not switched on enough. Again, I think the QPR player crossing the ball was offside, for me much more obvious than the first and the linesman should have caught that. Very poor. I just paused it at the point he passes to him, a good yard or 2 offside. VAR 100% rules that out. our goal - very lucky, poor defending and a lucky deflection from Wells snapshot Red Robin, FYI, neither goal attributable to DaSilva or Vyner….
Well none of NP’s signings covered themselves in glory yesterday.. the worrying thing is,,that’s 3 losses on the bounce and it’s not Christmas yet!!
Supcon 1st goal was onside because Bentley touched the ball onto the post or that how it was explained to me (a few years ago he would have been offside). Can anyone clarify ? 2nd goal was down to Vyner and Sykes totally dreaming asleep for their free kick which allowed an easy cross and goal. Shambolic.
This shows why we have to sort the defence out, clearly the strikers had an off day, and when that happens we are always going to lose if we can’t defend. 3 defeats on the bounce with 2 or more conceded in each games continues to be a concern. Does NP have the right/ good enough coaches??
So, is it because it touched the post then? In the Cov game their striker was given offside after the Boro keeper saved the shot and it came back to him? As for the second, not sure how you can blame Vyner? Just watched it again, he holds his position, it’s Sykes who’s all at sea, and Atkinson who isn’t awake to the danger behind him. You need to take the Vyner hate blinkers off mate. But, the fact remains the QPR player crossing the ball was clearly offside.
Here my take why Vyner and DeSilva are weak links. Not mentioned anything to do with the goals yesterday. Vyner issues are 1- far to slow 2- concentration levels are shocking 3- His passing is with a lead foot- General defensive duties are extremely poor. DeSilva 1- far to weak players just brush him aside 2- Heading ability limited due to size 3- very rarely beat his man and gets the cross in. Weimann was actually at fault for one of the goals yesterday.
I assumed it was because it hit Bentley on the way to the player when it bounced of the post. But the way you explained it could be more sense. The issue with that goal was Weinman’s suicidal pass when playing it back under no pressure into their player, who broke and shot. Second it was Sykes and Williams day dreaming I thought with neither committing.
