We are back for the rearranged Millwall game, had to have tickets for that as someone had bought the seats. Sweeties will have to be shared then

He's some lad this KLD ...

... the perfect message. short and sweet.

Sunderland’s chairman Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has thanked fans for their support.

On Instagram, he said: “Thank you to all for your support this season! We are looking forward to playing at home again after the break!”

at the very least its interesting to be appointing a "name" (I use that term loosely). But what I mean is appointing an established coach rather than an up and coming one seemingly from Speakman's network.

    I'm all for it.

Agree, not that im calling an up & coming one but there has to be the right blend on experience & up coming / potential even in the coaching....the key is the experienced ones are on board with modern technologies & bit suprised it is a 'name ish'...just shows the strides the clubs made behind the scenes & another good sign

Agreed. I quite like the idea of running the u21s like a separate team/club - appoint a manager, play in a style that matches the 1st team, give the kids in the u21s a pathway to the 1st team. I'm all for this a

Absolutely this. The 21's and the first team need to be inherently linked. Young players need to be schooled in how the first team operates and then can be made ready to step up as and when. Consistency and continuity are key.

And down through the u18s and other academy levels. It needs to be right through the club.

Just a coincidence that he's also from Saltburn or is there a Mowbray-Murty connection?

We have a million wingers and no striker. It's bad planning and recruitment. No ways about it

Yet we've won 2 and drawn 1 of the 3 games without a striker. Personally i'd say that's ok

Patto was good too. Did what was expected and mate a great save.

Gooch who I am a fan of, had a poor game.

We have done well. Let's see how it goes. Yday was a prime example for me but yeah, let's see.

Drawn 2 and won 1 mate. Reading 3-0 Watford 2-2 and PNE 0-0. That's still OK like.

Close enough. I think most of us woul've taken 2-2 with Watford no matter who was on the pitch
