Think it was very marginal, not ridiculously high but still quite a dangerous follow through right on the ankle but it’s was that reckless. Think over all it was probably the right call but could have gone either way quite easily. Obviously I would have been pissed off had it been one of ours players!
It was studs up sliding in at speed... It's a bad as a red card you'll get. It was a leg breaker. Just because his leg isn't split in two pieces doesn’t make it a yellow
If his foot was planted it’s a leg breaker absolutely. Good result today. I got it wrong: you got it right.
You just can't come sliding in at full speed studs up above the ankle.. I'm amazed anyone is trying to suggest that's a yellow Longstaff is lucky he still has his foot on the right way tonight
No idea why VAR took so long to confirm our goal though. Clearly no one offside but they seemed desperate to find one
But his first game since?? I always find it funny our fans claim we are the most passionate supporters yet a young player gets slaughtered if they are not world class the second they see them play.
I agree, I’m not slaughtering him for it just pointing out he was at fault. I hope he goes on to do well.
But at the same time we are allowed to accept that maybe he just isn’t quite good enough after seeing him enough times. It’s not always a case of witchcraft. It is feasible that he maybe just isn’t a good football player.
Support yes. Buy accept it. Hmm. Progress means sometimes we have to accept players are not up to scratch. For example Shelvey is a proven premier league player. Just he isn’t what we want. Now.
