What's upsetting the right in America this week? A woman with a degree in playing the flute played a flute.
So I'm trying to figure out how Kwarteng/Truss are going to try and salvage their credibility at the conference by continuing to big up their tax cutting plans... when that very action will only result in destabilising the markets again? And the pound crashing again. How does that work? It'll be interesting to watch, all the news is that both will be doubling down on it. Yet the more they do the more it spooks the economy/financial markets. Is that a paradox, not sure. Seems dumb as fck though.
I think that they're playing to the same people that got her the job in the first place. Are they still on board with her lunacy? Time will tell, I guess.
The bigoted moron party membership who probably preferred her to keep the brown bloke out? I see them as David Walliams old woman in Little Britain who keeps vomitting in disgust when some ethnic minority turned up to her village fayre with a cake she accidentally ate.
Btw in terms of playing to the right wing, I bet the diversion tactic throughout the conference will be about peddling the culture war. Lots of "look over there" attacks, lots of menshies of "woke", "immigrants", the "benefits brigade" to give the braindead thick ****s sonething to ger worked up about so they don't have to think too much about the colossal clusterfck this government has got this country into.
“To have as your principle decision cutting tax on the wealthiest shows the wrong values." There is no way that any Tory MP believes this.
Every Liz Truss interview is like she's got a satellite delay. Awful politician and spokesman, let alone Prime Minister.
Gee, I wonder how many people are employed by Philp's various property businesses You know, the ones whose accounts are filed in the Balkans, to avoid scrutiny...
