After today I'm not 100% Ralph in anymore. I'm 50-50 now TBH because I was really disappointed with the first half today. We needed a big performance from minute 1 and it didn't happen.
I’ve been giving the players a break for the last season and a half. We’ve got good players, always have had. Ralph can’t work out how to use them properly. It’s really that simple. And we should have doubled Romeu’s salary to make him stay another year.
No. The man deserves a bit of respect for his work here. However this ends up, even if he does get shown the door, he has put everything he has into managing this club. Now, we may be approaching the time when we need a new manager, that's fine but to call him a fraud is bang out of order.
You could say this about every manager who gets sacked. Bollocks to them; if they can’t handle a bit of criticism, then they really shouldn’t become football managers.
There's criticism and there's insults. Calling him a fraud is inaccurate and an insult. No need for it.
Tom it’s a football fan forum. Ralph isn’t going to read any of this. You’re acting like he’s the mate who we didn’t invite to the WhatsApp group-chat cos he can be a bit of a kn*b.
He’s been here 3.5 years, been paid a mountain load of money. He’s had respect and now that’s run out. You need to become less touchy
Also, @Brinkworth Saint …. Looking forward to seeing if your “fact” that Ralph lasting until the end of the season becomes opinion
Unfortunately RH is pushing buttons. I agree a tad OTT but after 2 diabolical & a really poor Wolves performance ……. Edit: and look at those 3 sides & their standard of play. Jeez, it really is ****e especially knowing, which he did, who’s up next.
It is sad as he’s a good bloke. and tbh second half we were actually not too bad. If we had a PL level striker instead of our two championship players we’d have got a point today. But we just have zero recognisable patterns of play. And as we can’t score, we need a solid defence. Which we know Ralph can’t create. Once again it was a random line up. If he hates stu Armstrong, why play him today? Nothing he does makes sense. He doesn’t have a clue what our best eleven is after four years
Was it random though? He dropped Diallo and Elyounoussi, which is what everyone wanted. Does he "hate Stu" or is that made up bollocks? I suspect the latter. He changed it because we were so poor against Villa. It didn't work - particularly in the first half but imagine the uproar if he had named an unchanged team! Mara was a huge disappointment today it has to be said. I was really looking forward to seeing what he had to offer and barely had a kick.
How can he get a kick of a ball when we rashly booted the ball away whenever we got it? Bunch of school kids in the first half
But they’ve had mainly 2 weeks minus the few internationals. It should not be like that, and Ralph wasn’t himself on the sideline. We chased shadows and hoped for the best with the ball
Haven’t read the thread yet, will post my thoughts first; 1) So, we continue the tradition of being toilet in the first half 2) No complaints about the 2nd half, bit unlucky I thought 3) After several seasons of being ****, Everton were far from **** today 4) Andre Mariner is a plank
I am in the “if he goes then so be it” camp. I keep on saying the same things about him. His pressing style made a group of average individual players look like a good team. I think he now has some better individual players but he has abandoned the style that gives players a little bit extra and that made us competitive. It’s his giving up on his way of playing that I don’t get. If he can’t get the new players to adapt to his style then I think it is clear that the wrong players were recruited. All I want is to watch a game and then be able to say, afterwards, win or lose that “I enjoyed that” more often than I say “that was crap”.
