Add Lampard to the list of managers that people make fun of, but who has now defeated Ralph. At this point there are very few managers I would say ‘no’ to. It’s getting desperate.
I’ve just checked & I’m actually Rout but tbh I haven’t been & I’d still like him to turn it around. Unfortunately I have no confidence he can. JWP’s performances have deteriorated so badly recently and that’s very telling. Doesn’t matter whether he’s in the wrong position, wrong mentality, whatever. If RH can’t get even a 6/10 performance from one of our best, if not best player then ………
Come on Sports Republic. There’s got to be a quality young innovative manager out there somewhere who can breath life into this very talented squad. Ralph is making me fall out of love with football.
That really is shocking. Sadly I have also joined the dark side and changed my vote. I just can't see any light at the end of the tunnel as whatever Ralph tries doesn't seem to work. Occasionally we do well against the big teams but we really struggle to beat those around us. Villa and Everton didn't have to play that well at all to beat us and for me that rings alarm bells.
Obviously the result was very disappointing. But I'm arguably more disappointed at the fact that I'm now firmly Ralph Out. I've been on the fringes for a long time. I was ready for his departure at the end of last season, even if I didn't necessarily want it. But that's it now. Sitting through that today, it was like being transported back to the days of Pellegrino - and I never want us to go back there. I don't think he'll go this week. But Haaland and his mates might finish the job. (Maybe even a third time unlucky on the 9-0 front.)
I am turning towards Rout. He has cost us 6 points against two teams who we needed to beat simply because of his team selection. Last week against Villa and the first half display today were the I worst saint's displays I have seen since the early 1970s.
Who are the likely candidates that would come here( not Poch and Tuchel obviously)…..I am struggling to think, Dyche at a push to steady the ship.
I wanted him to turn it around too, but it’s just not going to happen. If Ralph stays we really are relying on there being three worse teams.
As far as I can see any other manager at any other club with the record we have would have been sacked, 2 home wins in the last 12 and 12 points from a possible 60. That's all I'm saying.
Leicester v Forest on Monday could be very interesting. Either Rodgers or Cooper could be looking for a new job on Tuesday.
