Yes they did. But I predicted their score and a couple of others so I should have scored well in the table.
To be fair I’ve always said Longstaff plays well next to Bruno. Fulham where terrible and the red card made it easy. Willock just needed a goal. He’s been playing well. Murphy I just can’t like. Fraser is a mid table winger. That’s how it is.
Never ever be good enough for a selection of the fanbase. Soon as we go on a losing run in the future they'll be after his blood. They're just biting their tongues right now.
The selection was a bit bizarre though. We have mostly all been saying Miggy Longstaff Murphy where not good enough. But today they all more or less played well. And I think Bruno is the reason why. He just controls the game and that makes the play smooth. The red card was a god send make no mistake about it.
I thought they played well enough infront of a clearly top 6 player like Bruno, who lifted both Longstaff and Willock. I'm sure Isak if fit would have been on the left with Almiron on the right. Since we have an injury problem on the left side. As it stands he played the best we have got right now. The red card happened so early that I can't speculate on the impact it had, Fulham also lost Mitro to injury early which finished them off.
He is a potentially good left back. Needs games and good coaching. Both of which he never got under Bruce. Started well under Howe but then was injured.
The Fulham players body language after the red card I would consider a concern for them. We absolutely played the off the park. I actually like Longstaff next to Bruno. He just seems much more relaxed. I think Miggy is a confidence player. He played very well today and benefits from having Trippier. Murphy played well I guess but he frustrates me.
Howay Tash, pull your finger out. Where is the "Great result, but some strange selections by Howe: my thoughts on the game." thread?
