I think this shows it’s not as easy as just buying a few decent players, Fulham spent 100’s of millions for promotion, we ain’t getting promotion with a bunch of free transfers
I feel a very strong disconnect from this side. Cant quite describe it in words but when they lose it in a way doesn’t even feel like I’m watching Hull City play because of how much has changed in such a small space of time.
not really - the writing was on the wall as soon as he started Greaves, Jones and Coyle at the back - none of them have a clue how to defend and none of them can head the ball- at least he should have started McLaughlin - hopefully he starts second half - most of the problem is ****ing about at the back and we keep doing it again and again and again
thats the problem, it's not a team it's a collection of players wearing the same colour shirt too many players brought in over the summer & they have no idea how to play together. letting Honeyman go was criminal, our midfield is a joke!!!!
Unlucky in some respects, an unfortunate own goal and a wonder strike from Lansbury. But it doesn't alter the fact our defence is just lacking the basics, like marking. Playing out from the back is fine if there's movement up front to pass to. But there isn't so we just get pressed into mistakes. There's just a great big hole in our midfield and we don't have a player to fill it.
Unlucky own goal and a hit and hope that could've landed in row Z.If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all at the moment. Things aren't dropping our way at all but there is effort there tonight that hasn't been too obvious of late. Booed off the pitch,****ing pathetic!!!
Even though we look totally disorganised, they have had a couple of rubs of the green for their goals, whereas Slaters hits the bar and comes out. But this lot desperately need a coach who can get them playing with more discipline and structure.
The second goal.... Coyle had all the time in the world to actually chest the ball down and clear it, no Luton player within 15 years of him. But maybe thats just too skilful ....!!!!!
John.... we have no captain on the pitch, no vice captain on the pitch and certainly no leader... it has to start there...
In general we're looking better than the last couple of days. Oscar has been anonymous, other than pushing a couple of Luton lads around a bit, Tufan is a luxury we just can't afford right now, and Longman's just not very good, is he. I'd say Daws needs to change it around at half time, but **** knows who he can bring on to liven it up...
OMG, and like so many I was caught up in the media hype, the plane, the boat, the game in Turkey with the bus crossing the river. Strategically and mentally we seem to be destined for League One. Some TV pundit before the season started had us down for relegation citing media hype and instant promotion concept - just add water. At the time I thought he was so wrong and sloppy and lazy in his assessment............................if someone is really coming in by Wednesday to take over this shambles, good luck to him.
agree, we need a tackling midfielder who breaks up play & passes the ball to the wingers, like that Honeyman geezer at Millwall
