Fair question, you were pretty open with your postwhat makes you think i was referring to players .

Man U were were supposed to also be interested in Nunez and would probably have offered more. Don't know how true that is though.
I think there's a case to be made to look at players like Barkley, or even Havertz, Werner, Pulisic etc. and be cautious. If nothing else, come to Liverpool, develop, and in three of four years move to Barca or PSG for extortianate wages.

I always thought of that show as more of a documentary than anything elsecivil service training for you
" Chancellor may i just say while your ambitions are admirable right now these proposals could be considered brave"
Sir Humphrey Appleby
allegedly .

That's not logical.Would it be impossible for him to go to a club for "all the right reasons" and money?
That's not logical.
That's not what you'd be asking him though.
Us fans would be looking at him and saying forego 40million and come kick about for us. You'll be the hero here.
Examples where this approach has worked.
......
Examples where this has not worked.
Salah (we caved)
Mane . Left.
Wijnaludm. Left.
Coutinho. Left.
Sterling. Left.
Any amount of dodgy links that ended up at Chelsea.
The going rate is the going rate and the player can get 350k a week here.
If he starts every England game and is the only player coming out with some credit then he's going to probably get it.
The right reasons will be different in each individual case. In this one, you're 19 years old, you have self belief and confidence, (without being cocky) in your skills and abilities so you're not in a rush to get to the very top of earnings too soon, you know it will come. You want to look after your young body to avoid burnout and need the best medical team who will help with that. You want to play for the very best manager who sees you as a person as well as a player. You want to enjoy playing your game and be surrounded by others who play with the same passion and with the same drive. You want a team who are genuine contenders for all trophies. You want to be in a settled atmosphere where the manager, coaches, players and fans all appreciate each other and have strong bonds. Liverpool offers that. Why not?
What are all the right reasons for you?
And Chelsea/City don't ?The right reasons will be different in each individual case. Going to the place that offers the most money is the wrong reason - in this specific instance. Why?
When were Chelsea last real contenders for anything? How settled a team are they? How many managers have they had recently and will the current one even be there next summer? And Chelsea/City don't ?

Why if they offer everything else as well?Going to the place that offers the most money is the wrong reason - in this specific instance.

VVD...
Man City wanted him, were willing to match the transfer figure and probably offered more money too but he wanted to play for Liverpool / Klopp and he wanted to earn the medals.

How Leagues have they won in the last 10 years? When were Chelsea last real contenders for anything? How settled a team are they? How many managers have they had recently and will the current one even be there next summer?

Maybe he has a conscience about city's owners? So man city then... under pep guardiola where you'll play with de bruyne, silva ,gundogan and of course the likes of Rodriguez behind and foden as well.
You get all of what you said above bar "fans" but get 40mil extra over 5 years and virtually assured of 4x the medals

I don't know which is the best club for him.How Leagues have they won in the last 10 years?
You are asking stupid questions to try and justify your reason for thinking Liverpool is the bast club for the lad.
Not sure why i have got myself involved with this, i don't even rate him that highly![]()
