Not really. If we had played like **** on all 7 non wins then I’d agree with you but we’ve been extremely unlucky with decisions and only one poor game
I agree with that. Big points mean prizes. We can’t be blinkered here. Lose this next game and it’s 1 in 8 wins. That’s simply not good enough.
1 win in 8 is Bruce stats. And he would get slaughtered for that. If we lose. Are we judging managers differently these days?
This is what never ceases to amaze me….Fat Boy having a free hand to type and not full of food. Seriously though, other Clubs are spending as well. We were either 7th or 8th highest spenders in the last window. We are starting from a low base and are playing huge catch up. It will take time. Just enjoy the journey.

If you really want to keep comparing Howe's first 7 league this season, with Bruce's first 7 last season, then here you go (analysis bases on BBC match reports): BRUCE: WINS = 0 DRAWS = 3 DEFEATS = 4 3 points 8 goals scored 16 goals conceded 0 clean sheets Ave. 43.1% possession per game Ave. 13.3 attempts per game Ave. 4.7 corners per game HOWE: WINS = 1 DRAWS = 5 DEFEATS = 1 8 points 8 goals scored 7 goals conceded 3 clean sheets Ave. 50.4% possession Ave. 15.3 attempts per game Ave. 7.6 corners per gane So, under Howe that's: - More wins - More points - More possession - More attempts on goal - More clean sheets - Fewer goals conceded (less rhan half) The only stat that isn't 'better' is the goals scored (equal to Bruce). But bearing in mind we have Wilson, Bruno and ASM coming back from injury, that stat will hopefully improve soon. No, 1 win in 7 isn't great, but we are much, much harder to beat now. We play in a different style that puts us on the front foot, creating more chances, instead of backing off and hoping for a lucky breakaway goal. Could it be better? Yes Is it already way better than Bruce? Yes
Also, 5 of the 7 goals we've conceded were against Man City & Liverpool. Forest, Brighton, Wolves, Palace & Bournemouth have only managed to score 2 goals between them. And I won't even go into the "what if's?" of VAR and ref decisions.
OK, summary = the facts prove we are performing better under Howe than under Bruce. So people can stop comparing them as if Howe is somehow getting special treatment.
Wow. 9/10 for effort. But 6/10 for objectivity. This is a results industry. All the other crap is irrelevant. We lose our next game and it’s a bad start to the season. 1 win in 8 isn’t acceptable. At any level.
Performing and results are two different things mate. Reality is we have won 1 game this season which is ****ing crap.
Howe is getting special treatment. If Bruce had spent 200m and performed like this season he would be under pressure. Why do people give Howe an easy ride? It’s not good winning 1 in 7 games after spending 200m. This it takes time crap is bollocks. If we don’t win our next game it’s 1 in 8 and that 1 win was against Forrest. Then people will start to say , well it’s not Howes fault what he inherited. But those very people where happy to slag of Bruce???? Come on.
