At the match last night and it seems there is a continuation of the "We are Southampton, we're taking the piss". That is in relation to Kelvin Davies' header last game right?
Also I get a little annoyed at the "We are the northam, we are the Northam, we are the northam over hear", "We are the kingsland, we are the kingsland, we are the kingsland over here". Lately it has become jarred with neither side letting up and not wanting it to end. I do like the chanting to begin with, but after a few times we could think of something else to sing.... "Our clause in the middle of defence, our clause." That'll start you off.

Not being funny mate but chanting is just a laugh and it's just good to have a good old sing song, just lighten up a bit,it's not the end of the world.

I'm not a big fan of the "we're the..." chants.

Last night did make me laugh as the Northam and Kingsland were singing it, some bright sparks at the back of the Itchen started singing "We are the Itchen, we don't give a ****!"

Pretty sure the taking the piss chant is just because we were absolutely all over them. We've sung it in a few games this season.

As for We're the Northam, when you're actually stuck in the thick of it it can be a laugh, but I agree we should come up with some new chants.

Be good if we could get some real, good solid new chants in though. Be even better if we could create more of a Kop feel with Oh when the Saints without the f***ing Kingsland banging and clapping after one verse and destroying the atmosphere. This piss anyone else off?

I think the problem with all our chants is that they're just boring and sad. No talent or imagination, just mindless baying like as if we didn't have the wit to be more amusing. I'm sure if a few people on here put their minds to it, we'd produce some verse that would make the listening football world gasp with admiration and even be in line for a prize. What are you waiting for?

I like "we're the Northam", it would be great to get all four stands singing respectively in turn...but how do you acheive that?

Completely messed it up so, as you can't delete completely, I took it back to the only bit that made sense. Says it all really.

If you are talking about the 20 guys that sat in the itchen/chapel corner. I was one of them. And it just shows how terrible the atmosphere is that end of the ground that the chant has made it on to a forum 24 hours later. Back to the Northam I think!!

so in a nutshell...............saints fans even argue and taunt each other at games not just on here? Cracking <ok>

    PUP

PS: I was at the game, as a corporate guest of a client............I thought you played well but were nervy for the last 25 mins....was a weird atmopsphere though. I like the fact your keeper plays out from the back and doesnt just hoof it....I think keeping posession and drawing teams out has been a big part of your success.

    You think correctly.

PS Also good that we can have faith in our goalkeeper, unlike Leeds.
