I think we're weak in goal, at CB and (this will be controversial) on the wings. Basically, FB is good, CM is covered and Kane is up top.
I wouldn't be playing kane, he's by far too slow. We could have a very good midfield with sterling, saka, sancho for the wings. You could even play a diamond with two up top, go a bit retro. The players are there, but the current system (probably a phrase I've used in conjuction with England for years) doesn't fit.
0-2 and the hacks are writing southgate's obituary. 4 mins and now foden is the problem and England are awesome.
BTW I just want to put this out there. Henderson could have stayed at Kirkby and trained better than being sat on this **** heads bench. I couldn't give a **** about this shot at last world Cup. Hendersonnhas wasted two weeks training to improve lfc here. Absolute pants

I couldn’t watch or listen to the game but can imagine how it went. Southgate will be found out in Qatar, he’s so limited and he cannot luck out again.
I quite enjoyed that game - well the second half anyway. It just shows how desperate I've become in the absence of any real football. I think I'll just hibernate for the World Cup.
Nah we’ll win against Iran with a couple easy goals. Then prob draw v wales and uss, or maybe sneak another win v USA with a set piece goal. then will go out if we play someone decent in knock outs
Part of me thinks we won't get out the group because the tactics are so dated, poor and predictable. The other part of me thinks we will progress because Southgate could fall in a pile of cow **** and come out smelling if roses.
Pretty sure training to pack 10men back for last 2weeks is not very useful, not to lfc systems that are in need of sharpening up!
