There's a little club in Russia who are trying to dwarf what Chelsea and Man City pay, and despite being another 2000 miles away from Argentina and a good 15 degrees colder than Manchester, I'm sure Tevez would spout undying love if it meant getting £300k a week.
He's already proved what he's motivated by....

Lazerus, we bought Pires who was top class when we got him. Same with Arshavin.

For me Tevez is a mercenary and we wouldn't be able to afford his wages.

He's on 250k and I don't see a way he'd play for us for half that money. In case we somehow sign him, I can imagine him seeking for a move to Chelsea in two years lol
It's difficult because he is a quality player, top class. But only his character would worry me.

It all depends on van Persie, if contract talks stall and there are signs that he won't extend it I would move quick for Tevez.
I can't imagine both in the same team as both of them would demand wages far more than 100k a week.

If Tevez would be happy to play as backup for Van Persie, yes. Never happen though.

Why note play Tevez as a winger cutting in from the right or left? He's got the energy, so you could effectively have a fluid front 3 of RvP, Theo/Gervinho & Tevez. All of which are capable of playing up front and on the wing. Constant interchange to keep the fullbacks guessing :)

No don't want him, fantastic talent marred by the fact he is a petulant child at the best of times wouldn't do our squad dynamic any favours.

He is the epitome of the modern footballer, all about the money no love of the club he is at.

Pires was not one of the best players in the world when we bought him. Yes he was a quality player, but not the best. Bergkamp was one of the best around playing for a top team in Inter.

    Arshavin is not either.

You could also say that Reyes was considered a top player when we bought him

We bought Pires from Marseille which was not one of the best clubs in the world. He may have had some good performances, but you could never classify him as one of the best. You are looking at him through Arsenal tinted spectacles.

Arshavin was never classified as top level.

I will say it again, the last TOP LEVEL player we bought was Denis Bergkamp. If he was playing in todays game, he would be valued in excess of £35m-£40m easily. He could get into most, if not all teams playing today, and that was before he came to Arsenal. Wenger was able to develop a lot of players when they came to us eg. Henry, Viera etc. Only Bergkamp i would say was class from the beginning.

No he wasn't. The fact that he disappeared off the scene proves that. We have made a lot of players look a lot better playing for us eg. Reyes, Lundberg, Hleb etc. The only player i can think that got better is Fabregas.

I've had this conversation with a few mates and I think I'm with you, for me the only exceptions to the list (players who were better at Arsenal) are possibly Flamini, Overmars and Van Bronkhorst.

You could look at players like Sidwell and Bentley who were never considered good enough for Arsenal and were released before becoming first team regulars but I ignore theose types for this list...

I think we get a little carried away as they are Arsenal legends. But top quality players are those who could get into most top European clubs. We were lucky in some ways to get one of the best players around at that time (Bergkamp). He had everything in his locker. Just imagine if we had him now? The only top line player we have at the moment is RVP. If we can keep him fit for most of the season, then we might suprise alot of people. But if i had the option of either one, i would take Bergkamp. He was fit most of the time and is so much more stronger in every sense.

Tevez is a better player than Gervinho, Arshavin or even Walcott he would walk straight into our starting 11, those who are claiming otherwise are blatantly biased.

..but saying that i would'nt really want him at arsenal.

Wenger seems to like disruptive arrogant players though... Gallas, Adebayor, Nasri, Arshavin, Bendtner..etc..

Tevez would be the second best player, behind RVP in my opinion in our squad. I agree, he would walk straight into our squad and probably play on the wings or centre. Either way, an RVP and Tevez partnership would be devastating. I would even be bold enough to say, we would get 2nd place.

Weird, I was just having this conversation at work! I had suggested that Tevez would be just what Arsenal needs at the moment, the responses were about half and half yes he is or don't be a tw*t.

If he doesn't say sorry then he's out the door at Citeh and his credit has pretty much been used up in England so he should be willing to drop his wages and get on with playing.

Never going back to Man Utd, Chelskum already have an expensive striker they can't get the best out of, and I don't see him at Liverpool, Spuds or any other potential top 6 side. If he isn't going back to South America, off to Spain or Italy then Arsenal wouldn't be such a bad bet.

He is a goal machine but we wont get him.

I can see him ending up at Real or Inter.
