Fair comment and there were definitely concerns about Edwards. Bilic is probably a decent appointment too. But will he get time ?!
I hope so. And he’s got a chance to establish himself before the transfer window reopens and causes more unrest. I really hope he plays the players in their best positions. I can’t see him playing Sema at left-back. Well, I hope not anyway!
Isn't this the major problem with Watford (all clubs) supporters we want to play attractive attacking football, dont want to concede stupid goals and want to be successful and as high in the Premier League as possible Edwards has been criticised by lots of Watford supporters on here and where I sit in the GT stand but when the owners do something about it it is OMG what are they doing If they stuck with Edwards and after Christmas we were stuck midway in the second half of the table it would be WTF are they doing, cant they see what is happening They do something about it and it is WTAF they are making us a laughing stock The real problem is getting the right combination of players and coach/manager and this has been absent since the FA Cup final Overall it is recruitment that is the issue and not spending money on Defence and Defensive midfield players, I think we have the players to destroy any and every teaming the Championship and trouble the Premier League BUT not if they cannot rely on the defence to defend and the defensive midfield to win the ball and feed the attackers ACCURATELY., that is the absolute failure in recent years plus we cannot replace Deeney as a young forward and more importantly as a CAPTAIN
Well I think people aren’t annoyed Edwards has gone per say but by the way it’s been done . Obviously been backed and supported by Duxbury but dumped by Pozzo(s) And also people will think league position wise it’s a strange move too but they haven’t seen the performances. Unfortunately we will get stick for evermore as we have had so many managers .
Obviously the lazy ‘journalists’ were out, TalkSport giving it loads about the lack of time Edwards was given… But I couldn’t give a flying fornication about what anyone thinks outside of Vicarage Road. I heard some Gino criticism too, but I’d like to know just how good our recruitment would have been in the last ten years without Gino and his connections. I agree with you, duggie, about the defence and defensive midfield situation, but that was massively exacerbated by Edwards’ formation and line-up choices. Kamara, Hause, Sierralta, Gaspar, is a bloody good back four in this league I reckon, but we must play the players to their strengths. I fancy a 4-3-3, but I’ll settle for any of the 4-2-3-1, 4-3-1-2 variants if necessary. But three at the back ain’t good. **** it, if the Premiership’s finest can’t do it for England, then how can our boys?
