Enough of the boring snake oil salesman Southgate, it's no proper football again so it's the egg balls chance to shine with the rhinooooooooooooooooooooooooooos taking on the half scousers st Helens in the grand final so let's hope they do the business and get their 9th trophy win.....bit gutted as I had a small chance of a ticket from a relative who wasn't sure he could attend, text last night with the news he could...now off the Christmas card list
Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings (print edition, 24 September, page six) gave Gnonto 6/10 for his performance and said he applied “constant pressure” on England’s defence and that he has “legs that whirl”. Corriere dello Sport hail Gnonto for his impact off the bench, saying: “Mancini understands that there is another Italy on the pitch and after an hour of play he tries to give a further shock by inserting Gnonto and Pobega for the exhausted Scamacca and Barella. “The Leeds striker shows himself immediately with a good idea.” Corriere dello Sport also said in their print edition (24 September, page two) that Gnonto made Italy breathe, not giving up an inch, with his display off the bench.
Did not see the game as it's rare i watch England and in fact was not aware who or where we were playing
I only watched it to see how Gnonto did if he got on the pitch and was impressed by him. Very good player.
Enjoyed the England game last night as every time we see a performance like that we're one game closer to Southgate's departure. Worst thing that could have happened was us nicking a 1-0 win and thankfully that was avoided this time but expect more of the same for all the WC games until he's gone.
I thought that England played with no conviction it was a disgracethe sooner Southgate goes the betterOur Willie played his heart outbut his teamates failed several times to pass to him
Gary Kelly was initially a striker when he joined, but Wilko changed him to right back and that worked out.
Ian Harte to be fair Doc was a good player, great free kick, but somewhere down the line loss his confidence. I thought he was one of our better left backs.
