Who will go first Ralph or Southgate?...

 

Southgate has now got both teams he's managed relegated.

 

Southgate booed by the England fans. Oh dear oh dear, I fear the World Cup could well be a repeat of Euro 2016.

 

It'll be worse.

I genuinely lack confidence that we can beat Iran, the US and Wales on current form.

 

We should beat Iran, but the US have got some very good players and Wales will be bang up for it against us.

 

I think we'll win the thing.

It's coming home.....

 

At this point we’d be better off just sending the women’s team instead

 

Just seen this stat. Good god that's embarrassing.

England are one of only two nations yet to score a non-penalty goal in the 2022-23 Nations League... along with San Marino.

Incidentally that is who England's last competitive goal from open play was against.

 

Might be worth booting Gareth and putting Wiegman in for the WC as interim. I am serious.

Germany lost 1 - 0 Bella stayed on the bench. Mali won 1 - 0 Moussa was subbed off.

 

People on Twitter clamouring for Poch to take over the England job. I mean, there's worse ideas tbf.

 

It would be a HUGE call to sack Southgate just before a World Cup. And one I can't see the FA making. There's one game between now and the World Cup and that's on Monday night. But Poch being available could throw a bit of a spanner in the works. He obviously knows Kane's game extremely well and knows how to get the best out of him....

 

Nah, they aren't going to sack him because they don't have the balls to do so. Unfortunately. But they should have done a while ago tbh.

 

We're 7 hours ahead so didn't watch, didn't miss much by all accounts.

 

Or replacing Ralph?

 

I’m surprised you’re all surprised. Never rated Southgate, ever. Yep he’s done an ok even good job in moving us forward but he’s not a top manager nor coach. Should have been moved on after his last success.

 

I don't get this hate for Southgate.

We moan about Ralph (well not we but some) as football is a results business.

WC semi final and a width of a post away from being European Champions.

The past may not be so relevant will be thrown at me, but so far in a tournament, he hasn't failed to deliver.

I think we need to show more respect.

 

I wacthed most of the first half of the game but lost interest in it. Rare to watch any match involving Italy that you could call exciting.

This is very much a "nothing" competition and I waonder of the players sense that. I do not doubt England will step up their game in Qatar and m not too concerned. I don't think yesterday's match really mattered that much.
