It takes some craft that. To take such an impressive array of talent, attacking talent, and create the conditions for them to play with such a lack of attacking threat, whilst simultaneously looking flimsy as **** at the back.
I see also Germany got beat at home by Hungary, so we are not the only team underperforming at the moment. I know Southgate style is not the most exciting, but he is going nowhere at least until after the World cup has finished, so we have to see how things go. He will be judged on how we do in the WC, and frankly, I would far sooner we are not firing just yet, as often teams that come into tournaments start slowly and then get better as it progresses.
