They will be making a big difference back home soon enough (if they aren’t already) the best trained soldiers in the Ukraine forces now, battle hardened and smart. The Russians should be worried.

Would be amazing if they did and they way the Russians appear to be packing up and running off, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Only concern is what does Putin do when he’s losing it on the ground, hopefully he won’t resort to a nuclear “shock and awe” display to halt the Ukraine advance.

That's the main concern but judging by the state of the gear the Russians are using to fight there would be more chance of the nuke not launching and blowing up in Russia. <laugh> Loads of posts earlier about their kit but here is a recent one....

Sent to war in a tinfoil tank against weapons that are far superior. The drones and missiles the West have sent over, coupled with the courage and bravery of the Ukrainian fighters has ripped Russia a new arsehole. I'm not surprised they are running away in their WWII helmets tbh.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been involved in a car accident, his spokesman has revealed.

A passenger car collided with the presidential vehicle and his escort in the capital Kyiv, Sergii Nykyforov said in a short statement.

"The president was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were found," he said.

The driver of the car that collided with the motorcade was treated at the scene and driven away in an ambulance.

Mr Nykyforov said all the circumstances of the traffic accident were being investigated by law enforcement officers. He provided no further details.

This comes after President Zelensky, 44, visited the recaptured city of Izyum, a key logistics hub in north-eastern Ukraine, on Wednesday.

He thanked troops who took part in a swift counter-attack against Russian occupiers, and oversaw a flag-raising ceremony

In recent days, Ukraine's army has reclaimed swathes of occupied territory, forcing Russian troops to retreat.

    Russia mobilizing 300k reserves.

At what point do the people realize how badly wrong this is going for them.

55,000 dead soldiers up to now. There’s 55,000 families wondering what the hells going on. It took the USA 10 years to lose that many in Vietnam, they’ve managed it in 6 months.

They can mobilise millions, but they have to want to fight and actually have a chain of command on the ground. Both appear to be severely lacking
Any sensible Russian will know it’s gone unbelievably wrong, that’s Why Putin is leaning on the “West” being responsible. Your normal Russian won’t be able to understand how the Ukrainians are currently teaching them a lesson on how to fight a war, I mean special operation
Putin will want the referendum done and dusted so he can claim those areas as Russian soil. He will then use this to say that equipment supplied by the West is hitting targets inside Russia. He is seriously unhinged and if he thinks that will stop the Ukrainians and the West supplying them then he needs to think again. However no one knows what the nutcase will do next. He is playing God and it’s about time he was taken out
His threats are pathetic, a bit like “my dad is bigger than your dad”, when you have just took a pasting yourself. However every man and his dog, except Russian ones, can see they have made an unholy mess of this

Mobilisation means they are desperate, untrained in modern warfare, aging, unfit, throw the very cold Russian Winter into the mix and you quickly have a recipe for disaster. The Infrastructure is also decimated and the weapons supply chain will quickly shudder to a halt. Putin cant win.

He’s certainly the bully who believes the rules are “I can hit you , but you’re not allowed to hit me back”. In his case firing missiles into Ukraine onto civilians , torture , execution etc is ok , but you shouldn’t be fighting my army .

He’s being shown that the west can beat him in a conventional war without putting a soldier in the field, we can train, arm and inform the Ukraine forces and they seem to be able to not only prevent them gaining further ground but start to push back once they have lowered morale to the extent they seem to be on the run right now. This latest announcement, although an escalation, shows just how bad things have got.

Todays nuclear threats are more bullshit sabre rattling claptrap and nothing more. Vlad, you may not be bluffing but remember one thing, we don’t need to say a word in response. The Russians know our nuclear capability is not antiquated and the counter strike would be utterly devastating to them. That’s without mentioning what the Americans would do.

Looks like the Saudi's were instrumental in bringing our boys home, some of whom had been sentenced to death.

He certainly is deranged but his inner circle will know that more than anyone else, they all have families and mountains of assets they will not want to lose. They know that NATO will have a big fat target on each of their backs and if Putin does attempt to carry out his threats they are toast.
Its like watching an Austin Powers film now, Putin is a laughing stock, Dr Evil is spouting bollocks.

I suspect that his 'inner inner circle' are just as bad as he is. I think he is being egged on by some of his more trusting cronies. Otherwise he would probably have found a drop of Novichok in his morning Darjeeling by now. If Putin goes i think there will be somebody just as dangerous, if not, more so, to replace him.

Freeing so many Azovstal 'Nazis' including the Azov commander whom they were trumpeting they would prosecute as terrorists, etc

IMHO this is huge and a symbol of just how desperate Putin is.

The announcement of mobilising 300,000 reservists triggered demonstrations right across the country and I believe that was exactly what Putin wanted as he can now pull out of Ukraine saying that the public undermined the SMO and so it was impossible to continue fighting

Or it may be that I'm spouting a load of bollocks

Putin will just be waiting for the Donbas regions to 'vote' for independence. As soon as a missile lands there, he'll claim Russian territory is being attacked and that should be enough to rally more support from the Russian citizens to defend the 'Motherland'
