https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...ws/eddie-howe-suggests-callum-wilson-25044412 Apparently he was close to fitness for Bournemouth but wasnt' risked. ASM unclear so probably not gonna get him back for another 3-4 weeks yet. Isak------Wilson------Almiron ---Joelinton---Willock------ --------------Bruno------------ Targett--Burn--Botman---Trippier ----------------Pope-------------- I'd be confident with that.
Which means he'll be out for Brentford? Sick to death of him tbh, can't play more than 3 games max and then he's out for so long. He's go to be pulling sickies imo, no way can you be so fragile.
I'd keep Wilson in reserve. This is where we need to be, decent PL players on the bench. Isak is the future and is a centre forward, not a wide player, so let's not fall into the trap of accommodating better players out of position just because they've got a higher FIFA rating. We need to be adapting our wide and midfield play right now. There's a massive disconnect between midfield and attack. We need to either get someone operating in the 10 (I'd personally give Anderson a go) and play regular, not inverted, wingers. Or the entire midfield needs to move up 10 yards and the message needs to get through to both Joe's they need to do much more. There's **** all we can do about Fraser, Murphy and Almiron for another 3 months. Schar next to Botman, Burn's just a carthorse who's deceptively poor in the air. 4-2-3-1. Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Targett; Joelinton, Bruno; Fraser, Anderon, Almiron; Isak.
I know we don't want to give Chippy too much credit but should this not be on the Fulham Away Match Day Thread ??
It's because Tash is using big, complicated words, like "apparently" and "confident". Chippy wouldn't have a clue what is going on with his single-syllable thread.
All our hopes don't depend on Wilson anymore - our amazing run last season was almost completely without him, and now we have Isak anyway. Like Carroll was, Wilson is an injury waiting to happen.
Actually, Isak can play as a winger or a striker. I'm not saying this should be a long term option, but while ASM is out, I'd rather play Wilson and Isak rather than ****ing Fraser/Murphy. Are you seriously saying you'd rather play ****ing Fraser over Isak? Of course when ASM comes back we play him over Isak at LW, but while he's out, if it's a choice between Fraser, Murphy or Isak at LW, I'd choose Isak. When ASM is out, our wringers have proven time and time again that although they work hard, they're ****ing ****e at this level for creating chances and are barely a goal threat.
